I was gone for about 1-2 months last summer.
It was nice to see who was still there for me when I got back after I went through a lot of private and public issues. And distrubing to find out who was not. |

YOU would have sure, no doubt. But look at all the people jumping on the bandwagon. Reality and posting "I woudla had your back if I was there" on a message board are 2 seperate things. |
aaron i swear if i was there i would have had your back
they cant hold us down fuckin a what a bunch of pussies you guys need to learn some fucking respect id rather drink in the street then go into a bar that pulled that shit fuck them |

Hopefully none of the people who ate free sushi and rib dinner you invited them to were the people who knowingly went in after you....that would be REALLY fucked up...

This may not be the right post for this, but Grim Shawn is a fucking class act guy. Of all the people who were there for me on my bounce back he was there..
Loyality. Family. Grim Shawn. I have nothing but good things to say about him. Impressed. Very Impressed. A good friend. Aaron I hope you agree. |

Grim youre the best :winkwink: |
Aaron, I know I get under your skin and shit becasuse we dont get a chance to chill more here at the motherland and all, but ya know damn well at the shows and when we are togheter, its family. Nothing but respect and loyality. Would never leave you hangin like that. I understand your want to hang with a bunch of people who you are trying to establish stronger relationships with but it has its price. Sucks.
I may not be the guy who is always around ya with these groups of leaches, its not my game, but you know when its the family core and we are togheter its a totally different story. What happend there would have never happened. |

Understand this....... I know who my friends are. I know who uses me and who does not. I have always known this and yet I still choose to do things like I do. This event was not an eye opener by any stretch of the imagination. Everybody gets used in this business. Lensman throws parties and 1/3 of the people who show up turn around and bash him off the boards. It happens to everybody. People are your friends when there is something in it for them EVERYBODY is guilty of this at some point. Yes...I said EVERYBODY...And that means YOU too. Let me give you an example...... I pulled together a little dinner gathering. Although several people thanked me and Guerilla Traffic that night, very few gave public thanks on GFY. That dinner cost an easy 3 grand PLUS the added expense of people showing up who were not on the guest list and still expected AND GOT a free meal out of the deal. I wanted to tell the uninvited people thanks for coming, here is your bill...BUT....Guerilla Traffic did the better thing and stepped up to the plate to cover the entire tab. In this business, we have reality and perceived reality. It is perceived that our efforts are appreciated but in reality, most people do not appreciate it enough to even say thank you. The key to being popular and well liked in this business is to be the first person to open your wallet. That's the truth, like it or not. I could have bribed the doorman and I could have gone in and ran up a couple thousand bucks for a bar tab but why would I do that when the very people I would be buying drinks for decided to go inside without me? The way I see it...This thing saved me money. Like boneprone said.....Now we can see who are the true friends and who are the preceived ones. |

Sorry about that I thought it was a joke and I was already inside when it happened.
Seeing Aarron M singing to ice cube at orange number 5 was classic. Bar none was the first club I ever went to with porn peeps two years ago and I was so drunk i forgot the name so I got in it was deja vous. Creepy 6.75 drinks!! OUCH I used to make than an hour. LOL |
Hot diggity Dammn
I never go out to clubs/bars here (very seldom) maybe once a year cause there is just too much crap that goes down, being a girl i never had a bad experience myself of not getting in or paying issues ect..... but i hear of too many horror stories Aaron :girl next time see yah lets go for drink(s) in my case drink |
Sorry that happened to you, man. I had no idea. I too was inside early in the night (I think this was Friday night).
I didn't find out about your problems at the door until the next day from Lucalicious (sp?). Bouncers can be total pricks whenever they want. Total power trippers. :BangBang: |
I would have been pissed at my friends for going in without me, and leaving me hanging...bitch slapping and ass chewing would ensue i am sure.
but chalk this one up to fate... sounds like the "bar none" was a "zero" in the fun department. |
DAMN!!!! Was that the next day after I came out and got you?
Fuck!!! I really dont remember much of the weekend after about 8 at night or so!!! Why is it again we decided to start off at the Fucking Canby everyday! Home of Cheap Beer and Cheap Drinks!!! |
I loved the Camby!
|
The camby rocks!!!
It may be cheap, it may be dirty.. but your always guaranteed to have a great time...not to mention no egos from door men... |

Shit Aaron that sucks
You took care of me in Vegas when I was only 19 and I got into most places. Anytime you come to visit (better be fucking soon) I got your back bud. I know most of the bouncers at our nightclubs anyway so we'll be cool! :thumbsup btw we got 7 guys in Scotland this weekend partying with us, 1 Canadia, 6 Dutch...... I did give ya notice and you said you needed more!!!!! Next time? |
Quote:
would've been classic to see you sitting chillin on the corner of hamilton waiting outside for your buddies to come out.:1orglaugh :1orglaugh |
AaronM, Don't know if you remember me from nina's party in nyc a little while back, but i thought that u were a down to earth guy.
that shit is fucked up. in ny we're so used to doormen being dickwads that we just go off to a different place. god-forbid any of my friends went in with out me. they'd be done! |
That fucking sucks Aaron..Believe me I wouldn't have gone ahead without ya.I was in the burbs Saturday night and honestly would have hoped the people who live here would have not let that happen to our guests.I tend to stay away from the downtown clubs just for that fact...
Perhaps they didn't know you were left out.Well I hope that doesn't leave a bad taste about Vancouver. |
Hmm never done much with Aaron but you seem like a good guy, boneprone on the other hand is a class act.
I have missed quite a few shows lately as well..this vegas we need to hook up for sure..and I am all low key now as well, so lets get together and catch up |
Did you tell them how many posts you had at gfy?
That should have worked! |
Kinda is an eye opener, eh Aaron?
This business has the largest percentage of "Fair Weather Friends" bar none. Yes, pun intended. I owe you a beer or pepsi in Vegas. |
thats fucked up man, you would think that a smile wouldnt be an issue. im happy becouse i have a great fuckin job and dont have to worry about what im going to drink tonight, unlike alot of the people down at the end sucking down there drafts
|
My girlie and I didn't have any problem getting in being chiquitas and all, but we were like nope, gotta let any gentleman friend of ours in at the same time or we're not coming in. They just pulled the rope back again. I think it is really obnoxious for anyone to leave a friend on the other side of the velvet rope. That is like grounds for mortal-enemyship in Los Angeles.
|
damn! i don't leave the door till acquaintances get in. if you come together, it only makes sense to enter together. those guys showed a serious lack of class.
boneprone, i am pretty impressed with your perspective here, and totally agree. i don't consider many people to be my friends, and i am rarely disappointed by the people i consider friends. loyalty is what it's about. people who don't even thank people publicly on a board for a nice time are beyond me - i thank every designer on gfy and awi who does a good job for me. everyone deserves recognition when they do something cool, and what the FUCK does it cost to post on a board? sometimes people are just too fucking stupid... |
Aaron, there's a terrible wave of self-importance going around with these doormen at bars. They are doormen at bars, they aren't the owner, they aren't big players, they aren't professional atheletes and they aren't rap stars.
At some point the bullshit has to stop. Whatever happened to "the customer is always right" ?? Not too long ago I went to a little trendy college bar in West Chester, PA, 25mi west of Philadelphia. They wouldn't let one of my friends in (group of 4) because he was wearing a shirt without a collar. There was no cover so I went in and told the doorman that if I found one person in the place with a collar I was going to call the manager/owner and complain. Sure enough, I saw at least 3 people without collared shirts and our group was eventually let into the bar after some discussion with the owner, who had be to pulled from his office where I assume he was counting money. Had my friend not been allowed in there's no way the rest of us would have left him out in the cold, and I would have given the local Better Business Administration a call. That shit pisses me the fuck off. |
Aaron stop pussy footing around.
DH |
That sucks man!!
Next time give me a call and I might be able to help. Sorry I missed you this trip. I'll get you lunch next time you are up this way. I agree with juicy , all in or none in. |
big deal

Live and Learn.

Aaron I can't believe you have the balls to bring up this story.
You were being a dick to the doorman, I am sure you were just doing it to be funny but obviously he didn't share the same sense of humor. While I was waiting in line you continued to argue with the guy and be a real arrogant prick after the fact. If you had not been such a dick I would have been able to get you when I called Charlo and got him to come out and help us get 20 or so in. I noticed in this post you were not naming names but I am sure I was one of the people you were pissed at. The only person you should be pissed at is yourself, you made yourself look like an asshole. If you had just backed down a bit and been a little less in your face we could have gotten you in for sure. First of all we are friends, and if I was with you I would have of course left with you once this had happened. BUT you arrived 10 minutes before me and I had no idea you were even going to Bar None. We weren't even hanging with the same people! I had a bunch of people who were with me and a bunch that were already inside waiting for me. Is that fair to me? Is that fair to my friends? Should I just dump them all and go with you since you decide you want to be a jerk and tell off some bouncer? Hey man, I think I have been kind to you throughout the couple of years we have known each other. But I just can't believe you took this stab at me when we both know what happened outside Bar None and you KNOW you were definetely in the wrong. DH |
sounds fair enough to me
|
yup it is all about loyalty....you can always tell who is down for you go through any shit in your life and you find out really quick who is and who isn't. I just broke up with my girl of three years because she disrespected me as a man and my integrity and I dropped her. It is sad because finding loyal people out there our truely blessed people because most people are backstabbers looking out for them and only them. Sorry to hear about that Aaronm.....

Uh oh here we go.
