Those yukons errr I mean Escalades are nice. I have been driving Lincoln T-cars for years. No better product than a Lincoln player. If your pullin a boat opt for the Navi seein as its probably pushin the 5.4L which is technologically way advanced compared to the Cadi. If longevity is your bag, Lincoln Owns:thumbsup

Same here. I have a '98 on 22's. Drove that joker around the world twice. Just bought the sickest '04 Expedition. Has all the same shit as a Navigator ('still have the '98 though).

Go Navigator (Although you'd have a wider rim selection with the Caddie). They're both sick.

Around here in Surrey ( bad part of Vancouver ), the big SUV owners all are about 19, roll on giant chrome wheels, blast rap music all day, and live at home

Like you said, all the talk about them in rap videos has put the name of the Escalade up there with Tupac

:eek7

Exactly Lincoln always meant luxury. Cadi has turned into... well you know. Why are ALLL Limos Lincolns? Hmmm its all about reliability baby. Oh ya the ride in a Lincoln verse caddy doesnt even compare. :glugglug

AmeliaG 10-28-2003 06:18 AM

Lincoln, baby, Lincoln! Smooth ride.

Escalades will get the booty girls. BMW will get the model chicks. Lincoln does it all. And it has mobster appeal.

Great meeting you in Vancouver! Funny pix to post later.

Platinum Dave 10-28-2003 06:46 AM

Hey Boney I am thinking about the same two trucks.

I havent test drove the Caddy yet but I did test drive the Navvy and its sweet.

Both look sweet, I think Navigator is alittle to big though.

Let me know what you pick

sweet7 10-28-2003 07:52 AM

I would have to say that Cadillac is slightly more refined than Lincoln.

TheLegacy 10-28-2003 07:54 AM

Lincoln all the way

Veterans Day 10-28-2003 07:56 AM

The Musters are classic :thumbsup

And MAYBE caddy has refined there vehicles but just look at the 90's caddy's they were horrid to say the least with that shit all aluminum 4.9 they used. One nice overheat and it meant a complete longblock rebuild. Lincoln baby.

candyflip 10-28-2003 08:05 AM

Dude...you're Boneprone. You don't want a ride that everyone and their kid brother is driving.

I've driven them all and the only one that comes close is the Porsche. It's very similar to the VW, but $30k+ more. You can order the VW with a v10, and it will still run you less than the Cayanne. Any you can park it in a parking lot without having to worry.

:thumbsup

They're still the people's car...now it's also the "rich people's car". Did you know that VW owns Bentley? Maybe we'll see a Bentley SUV in the next few years.

Mike AI 10-28-2003 09:08 AM

Escalade - GM makes better SUVs then Ford. Get the GPS navigation system, best one I have seen!!

http://hirise.biz/escalade/e1.jpg

Veterans Day 10-28-2003 09:12 AM

thats why the all time best selling suv is the explorer :1orglaugh

Ice 10-28-2003 09:13 AM

Navigator :thumbsup

doober 10-28-2003 09:20 AM

Navigator is such a piece of shit...
First time I sat in one the first thing i realized is that it had the EXACT same dash as my dads 1989 mercury topaz which is the the same as ford tempo...

How bling bling do you think you are when your PHAT Truck has the same dash as the rust bucket mentioned above?

:helpme

with that said, get an escalade

:1orglaugh ya ok

C_U_Next_Tuesday 10-28-2003 09:33 AM

neither...get a GMC Yukon Denali. It looks just like the escalade...but has a much better package for offroad and it can be pimped inside and out...

I almost bought a Escalade, but glad i didnt...Love the Denali !

JerseyPuma 10-28-2003 09:46 AM

Denalis are the fucking shit, no doubt. That would be the way to go if it were in the mix.

If you have to choose between those two, the Navigator definitely gets my vote. I love that color, I want the next car I buy to be a DeVille in that color with the gold trim. I just got an 04 Lincoln LS though, so that wont be for a while. As far as Lincolns go though, I have had no problems with my LS so far, drives like a dream, makes long trips seem short, etc.

:2 cents:

[illnet]-Romeo 10-28-2003 10:00 AM

Niether, stand out. Here's what I picked up :winkwink:

One is by ford? One is by Lincoln? There is a big difference there buddy.

Anyway.. Escalade will cost more, but your getting better quality in manufacturing and stability. The xtra's are very nice on Escalades. Just my opinion. :winkwink:

Theo 10-28-2003 10:19 AM

Escalade looks way better than Navigator

Mr. Jim 10-28-2003 10:38 AM

BP,

If you are looking for the heavy weight SUV that can pull weight and not struggle and give you all the bells and whistles.....

Look at the LX470

The Lexus has remarkable fit and finish. If you wish to look like you are in a music video than I would certainly say the Caddy or the Nav.

The LX470 is a refined vehicle that has amazing amenities that is a sophisticated, practical, and functional package. and they look great with 24's if tastefully selected.

BradShaw 10-28-2003 10:54 AM

I have owned both, I am now on my 2nd Navigator. Caddy is more of a bling bling attention getter, I like a nice comfy low key ride.

I also agree, check out the lexus 470.

kacy 10-28-2003 11:01 AM

I went to get an Escalade, there was no doubt that is what I wanted. When I got there however, they did not have what I wanted in stock (either black or white with sunroof and tv's)
Of course I am contributor to the "I WANT IT NOW" society I left sad, didn't want to order one and wait. Maybe I would check out another dealer.

Anyway, the Lincoln dealer was next door and I had never even given the Navigators a second glance, but my hubby wanted to check them out. OMG! I was amazed! At that point I could not believe it--there was actually no comparison to the emenities the Navigator had compared to the Escalade. After looking at the Navigator the Escalade looked like a suburban to me. Not to mention the fact it was less money. Unreal. No doubt I love the look of the Escalade when they are all blinged out, but for all the extras and price, the Navigator did it for me.

Needless to say I drove out with a bad ass Navigator loaded with every option available :)

It also pulls our boat with no issues what so ever. The ride is unbelievably smooth. Rides just like a luxury car.

I haven't had a chance to take any pics yet, but I will post some when I can. It's raining ashes here right now :(

Jman 10-28-2003 11:51 AM

Hey man, very happy to have finally met you in Vancouver...

I think the answer to your Question is simple.

Go Bling with the Escalade.

Nasty D 10-28-2003 11:53 AM

Caddee:thumbsup

Timbo 10-28-2003 12:12 PM

Bone, go with the Navigator. My partner has one, loves it, I am getting one this week. Caddy is a bit hard for me to fit in, so I am biased of course. More room in the Navi.

Pornwolf 10-28-2003 12:19 PM

That Navigator is 10x better looking than the Caddy.

Veterans Day 10-28-2003 12:39 PM

See Bone listen to the people who actually drive Lincolns and have bought one (myself and others) OR listen to the wannabe's who watch Master P on MTV. If that caddy is reminiscent of there cars in the 90's its a hunk of shit.:glugglug

Simon....I use to love the Caddy...now when i see them I see nothing but mindless fools who are wearing clothes way too big, a basketball jersey of sorts etc.

The Lexus is a pretty dope ride...I know you bveing a caddy guy and all....

I would still prefer my daily driver to be a 1970 LS6 454 chevelle with a muncie m-22 rock crusher four speed

but of the choices thrown out .....

I will choose my dignity in this case the LX 470....I am too old to get robbed for my rims

Wow that is a big powerplant!!!!

I am a bow tie guy when it comes to old muscle....iIwas playing with 5.0's right out of High School for many years and really thought that Ford had one the race with Chevy.

They tried to refine the Z28 too much...in the late years in particular before the last run the cars were insanely fast....too little too late.

Ford i think is doing the right thing by going with a retro design. The youth market is not able to afford the Pony cars as we knew them...rear drive....v-8 etc

The 05 Mustang if done properly could reignite AMERICAS LOVE OF the Mustang

My dream is to own a 66 shelby Cobra 427....some day

Street Muscle....70 chevelle or 1969 GTO judge or a baldwin or Yenko Camaro

Oh and by the way nice Nic

I am an 8 year vet

Jimbo 10-28-2003 01:14 PM

I prefer escalade, pearl white

VW Toureg V8 on 22s.

My wife wants of those.
They look sweet. But just don't have that street apeal that the other two have.

My wife has a VR6 VW and its a sweet lil firecracker.
Great cars VW's are. That Toureg is sweet looking!!

But I think its more of a car either my wife would be seen in or my trendy happy mom.

MichaelP 10-28-2003 01:35 PM

Go for the Caddy.. ;)

But I think there is another model with a different grid on the front (finer) ..

Am I right ?

Nice.
those 2004 new body styles are sweet!!!

Not really in the market for that though. I kinda lost some cash in the sports market this month.

Looking for a 2000 or even 2002 maybe. Old body style.
