Listening to jact try to get service from Bell sympatico..

We've been having problems with their DNS... He called, and first was told that "DNS is not important".. after he proceeded to explain why the idiot was full of shit, he then had to explain WHAT A DNS WAS to the idiot on tech support.

So, with all this in mind, I wonder if I should be confident in their tech support services? Somehow I doubt it.

Fucking idiots.

sad to hear you got problems, but its always the same no matter the ISP... remember calling an ISP to tell them that their SMTP server was open for relaying, and their tech department did knew what open relay ment...

wonder how they find those supporters with no knowledge at all...

It took me 10 minutes to convince him to get me working DNS numbers so I could enter them into my router and not have this problem anymore.

He told me that because they assign them dynamically that I shouldn't enter any information there. I informed him that several of the servers that they were dynamically assigning were down, he said it made no difference to me, don't enter any information.

I informed him that he needs to try to get it through his thick skull that he needs to give these numbers to his supervisor and tell them that they're down as they're affecting customers (I gave him a list of down DNS servers that they dynamically assign).

I then proceeded to inform him that he's in customer service, and I'm a customer and this was effecting me, so he damn well better service me (I got loud by this point) and then slammed the phone down.

Do they not teach these kids at least a rudimentry understanding of the internet? "Is your mail slow?" Fuck off, I explained my problem.

yeah bell has the worst service ever, the stupid fucks let some ass steal my phone line 2 times. he called pretending to be me. such a bullshit hassle. im convinced for customer support they just hire someone who can read, and stick a piece of paper in front of them and tell them to go through it when someone calls. i've never used their internet service but my sister while trying to get it setup on her computer was told to re install windows. i would never use sympatico since they have the most shitty caps. is it still 6 gigs a month for their regular package? i like my local isp, they use bells lines but no caps.

MY BELL STORY:

So I had videotron and they have this sweet package at Bell with Satelite and Internet so I go for it. I call them etc. and request to BUY a new modem so I don't pay their monthly rental shit.
After a week or so the modem arrives. They are so stupid that they forgot a letter inside the modem box from a previous customer saying "Hi, my name is Shakira etc. your service sucks ass etc. so I decided to return the modem and cancel my service".
So they sent me a used modem and asked me to pay full price for it as new so I told them to fuck off.

The problem comes from the fact that 99% of the customers they have to deal with are idiots. Even when a customer uses a technical term you can never be sure if they really know what they're talking about or if they just heard the term somewhere and thought it sounded cool.

Bunch of fucking scam artists....I also have videotron, they aint that much better either...When they started charging for BW it was costing me 220 bucks for something i was paying 40 $ for.

My business dsl doesnt have any caps, its 3.0MB for like 100$ or something
