I have tested a very big us sponsor
and no credit into my stats...

Erm... how about counting the number of hits you send them and then comparing that figure to the stats they give you? If the figures are more than 10% +/- you can be pretty sure you need a new sponsor. Simple really.

no change counter for hits raws (same as partner counter)
just change sign ups counter... hehe

what is the probability for the partner is testing the program ?
just look at their technical specs (lang,ip,cookies...)

if probability is under 10% then "shave it dude"

I mean webmasters should have a special "bot" for testing program for everybody...

sponsor A : reliability 87% on 54 tests
sponsor B : reliability 55% on 29 tests
etc...

to be possible webmasters members have to pay a little
by example : 10$ a month

if 500 webmasters pay, then the "bot" can track for 5000$ a month with a lot of sponsors...

do you follow me ?

Age old question and getting a serious answer here will be hard because there is simply no way around it but there are a few things you can do.

As already mentioned start your own paysite. If thats not feasible test different sponsors. You need to have a decent amount of traffic to know who is shaving you the worst, and you need to give it some time. Natural fluctations do occur so you can't jump ship right away.

After you get a good baseline and know about what your traffic should convert you will have an easier time finding out whos shaving the least. The general consensus is stick with the sponsor thats giving you the biggest check. It makes perfect sense but I still get pissed off myself thinking that check could be so much bigger.

Remember if you dont like your current sponsor don't send them any more traffic. Try emailing them first. Most will look at your site and try to help you.

I redirect my traffic once or twice a week when I am not happy with the results. If you move your traffic around to several sponsors and get the same results maybe your traffic is shit.

So many factors. It takes time.

Of course he doesn't but no one ever has any proof other then "my conversions suck". We can all speculate but unless you work for the back end of these companies you can never say for sure.

Of course there was that one incident where the admin area was posted here on GFY and you could see the shave stats

Not cool to throw out sponsor names though.

I think its funny that whenever I post here in a "my ratio with xxx sponsor is shit" thread, I get 3-5 sign-ups almost instantly with said sponsor.

Shaving is like Mexican Killer Bees- not a real threat, but the issue resurfaces every time its a slow news day.

However, ClickTruth is one option. It is still in a beta period with 3 sponsors submitting to the auditing and a few others implementing the back end scripts right now, but http://www.clicktruth.com is working towards giving us some peace of mind.

You might ask your program if they would be willing to be audited by a third party.
