Where do you guys license your content from these days? Who do you love? Who?s good?

I have 1250+ original sets and am looking to add one new distributor, but I would like to know who you like?

I have almost exclusively been licensing through :

Have big respect and trust for Dave. He has good and honest for me for years and years.

But, sales have really dropped, is it the market or is there someone else doing a better job of licensing sets these days?

You can usually tell how sales are doing across the content industry by how many 'content blowouts' are running at once.. Seems times are rough for a lot of content providers right now.

I think there is a guy in CZ who might be interested in taking on another shooter. Can't remember his name for the life of me, bit of an arsehole but straight.

Sales are down we just finished summer, also there is a lot of culling going on. Maybe some of the webmasters are realising a site with 10,000 sets 90% of which are sub-standard is a site of 1,000 sets that you have to dig through to find anything decent.

We did the simple thing, put the lesser stuff in here.

Hey Max,

Licensed content market ain't what it used to be - boggles my mind with all these hundreds of programs out there with 20-50 paysites in their portfolio not to mention the hundreds of thousands of free, AVS, and TGP site plus the tens of million gallery pages out there that the relatively TINY number of high quality licensed content providers are struggling.

This business is was and always will be built on stealing content, nobody cares, they'll rush to a thread and fill it up with 1,000 posts when a designer gets ripped off by one client over a few thousand dollars, shoot their mouths off about ethics and morals, then go back to running their TGPs filled with hundreds of galleries with stolen photosets and movies.

The business is shifting to exclusive custom content.

There is no one provider taking all the biz, but i do think it comes down to quality of content, marketing AND service which is lagging all over the place in this business!

The market is shifting and the quality demand is getting bigger by the minutte, but ppl are not willing to pay more!

Mutt: I dont aggree with you on the exclusive issue as we are still growing with 40% every 6 months.
All that will change though with our new site coming out on the 7th Oct

I agree that non-exclusive doesn't sell nearly that well as it did 2-1.5 years ago. This september seems to be a totall asshole, though August was relativelly good.

But exclusive content still sells more or less well.

The Tgp's are doing such a good job providing the surfer with what he needs : Loads of new faces each day. That paysite signups is increasingly tough to get. the mayority of paysites cant compete, Pic size and exclusivity is a relatively weak incentive compared to the massive number of new free faces the tgp's provide.

Paysites go exclusive and Tgp's go hosted galleries but its a bit futile, so sooner or later there has to be a weeding out as I dont see the Tgp's going to reduce the surfer friendliness anytime soon.

i dont mind the competition, but I do fear the potential weeding out of producers that might result, as it may limit content diversity for paysite webmasters and surfers alike...
