watch CNBC today, I just saw interview with Acacia president
the company strategy for growth:
"Hire more lawyers" I haven't heard anything he said and only glanced at transcript, as my TV was on mute due to long distance phone call... maybe they repeat it later on today |

hahahaha "hire more lawyers", that's a winning strategy. Sounds more like a cop out. I think Berman is suffering from small cock syndrom.

Nice post Serge...occasional nuggets make me want to read Oprano again ;)))
I'm sure patent lawyers and corporate attorneys / risk management folks are studing ACACIAs strategy now. After all they are not going after Real, MS, and other encoding companies, end users, or ISPs. They are going after the companies they precieved would settle the fastest, and in a way be afraid of a trial, due to prejudice about their industry. If patent laws are upheld in this case, it will be interesting to watch more patent holders go after smaller users first (not the actual producers of infringing technology) and how larger companies respond. After all, Real was not only trolling for adult business in Vegas last year. They were showing PORN at their display. With the emergence of 3G? mobile technology, companies are counting on adult to increase the adoption to their technology. Like Real, they know if they have a measure of adult support they can count on gaining a number of users quickly. It will be interesting to see if Real would step forth and want to gain back some market share from M$ (who has already imdemnified it's business users against patent related suits). We'll see. The lack of action is interesting to watch. Quote:
