Who wants to pool bets on how long until this forum loses all credibility when it comes to respectable, intelligent, successful webmasters hanging out here?

What with the loss of some great characters who've helped make it what it is, how long till it's a n00b farm and all hope is lost?

I should point out right now that before hitting the 'Submit New Thread' button, it suddenly occurred to me that this is the VERY FIRST time that I've hesitated to post something I've envisioned on GFY.

I remember when it did'nt used to be at all like that.

FIrst of all, this is'nt reality, it's a messageboard. My words only carry as much weight as you percieve them. Thus making your analogy flawed.

Second, I am quite confident that what I am saying is simply an extrapolation on what evryone has been posting and thinking recently: that the current situation with the bannings suck.

Is there a crime in that? I think not. If I owned this forum, I for one would not let the opinions of one person affect my emotions so much from a few posts among many that just happen to go into more detail.

Now, if I came right out and said "fuck GFY, fuck Lensman, Fuck this whole thing" or something along those lines, then yes, I see your point. I would expect to see repurcussions from these disrespectful actions.

But I'm not.

But are you saying that my posts are basically suggesting "Fuck GFY, etc."?

I disagree if that's your point. I rather enjoy GFY, and I have no problem with Lens, all I'm doing is saying that I find this current trend distasteful and am waiting for it to return back to normal.

I don't think anyone enjoys fear of being cut off from a fun forum based on expressing your opinion. I was under the impression that GFY was a safe place for that.

With this in mind, even if someone did come right out and say "Fuck you Lensman", I think it's pretty safe to say that more than a few people would come on and defend him. Not only that, but his bank account and reputation are the last things to be affected by words on GFY.

So in the end, everything is safe no matter what anyone says - for GFY and Adult.com and all it's employees. But not for a lot of other people.

I don't think this would be a fun place if this emotion-based banning continues.

That's all I'm saying.
