suggest a bulk text file editor? - GoFuckYourself.com

i need to edit a bunch of text files where i need to replace spaces between words with a hyphen.

i can do it by hand but it would take forever. is there a utility program that does something like this?

I have to have a lot of custom scripts built to handle text files, and this problem I haven't needed to solve.

I know some programmers that can do it for you in VB (Visual Basic) for $15 an hour. hit me up on icq if you want their info.

I've had them do a lot of text editing scripts, other than that can't help you

Download BK Replace Em...it's free and will do that

For windows... I think ultraedit will do what you're wanting to do.

You can even set HomeSite HTML editor to accept text files, then S&R throughout a dir and all subdirs.
