Live cams showing fire/smoke (live feeds)

Here are some live cam sites that look active.

Watch your favorite city burn

From the Hollywood sign Click on the Panasonic Pic in the lower left

Venice Beach

Satellite IR loop of California Look close and you can see the smoke

Plenty of stories running on National News as well.

(cough, cough, akk!) excuse me.

Also, the video clips are a few hours old but check back as they are the most on top of this story.

KCAL 9

Big chunk of Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead are considered a loss.

Every summer we have bush fires it certainly can be a worry living here on the edge of national park bush.

i was born in california, and sometimes it seems like we end up with more federal disaster funds than any other place. we have floods - remember the ones in the late 80s? or in i think 82? or there was spectacular flooding that washed out a lot of tujunga around 77. we have earthquakes - the last big one and 71 were amazing to live through, but of course we have plenty of others. and every year we have fires - plenty of fires - that usually take days or weeks to put out.

and yet the television, movie and music industries have an enormous presence here. maybe they like risks, huh?
