Thanks Greg....how the hell are ya?
i like the low key attitude of it

like a lot of people, i knew what i wanted, didn't have to be rolex...and, i found it in CA on a biz trip...it was in the window display, caught my eye, and they said it is "not very popular", thus there is not very many of them.

Ill try to get a pic of mine, the one i borrowed does not show the bezel well at all.

Here's one I found of my Concord Impresario.

It's a cool everyday watch.

I have one of the chrome Mavados with the link band (like the one AaronM has in gold) and had a Rolex too, but I like the Concord best because everyone has a friggin' Rolex or Mavado!

LOL

SWEET TIMEPIECE!!!

Is that 18k WG or Plat? Your dial tells me that you have an aftermarket bezel. Why did you go with all rounds on the dial? 8 round and 2 baguettes are standard for the dial configuration on a presidential.

It's safe to assume that your bezel is aftermarket as well. You enhanced it really well, looks fabulous!

It looks like you have a MOP dial as well! Is it Tahitian or just a MOP dial? It's hard to tell from the photo.

busy busy.. trying to get these new sites out.. as well as other projects.. while making sure everything else is still running.. lol

yeah.. mine is the same model and style.. only with the black face.. you're right i've never seen that blue stlye before...

rolex's are actually decent investments.. as they don't really drop in value and they make great hierlooms :2 cents:

Yes, it rotates the timepiece counter clockwise and clockwise X number of times per day and for Y minutes. It has two settings, depending on the timepiece. Some timepieces need more winding than others so there's a switch that addresses that.

I don't like to say "Thanks" since I didn't make the thing :winkwink: but I'll ass-u-me that you meant that I have good taste so I'll say "Thanks" for that :-)

It's 18k and was changed from the original oyster dial to the MOP with diamonds then the bezel was added. Thinking about having the nitched bezel put back, little too much bling bling for some days.

I totally understand you and have given that some thought myself. It's funny because this is THEE watch that I wanted for a few years now. I bought a SS Rolex Datejust a few years ago and then I bought a SS/Gold Rolex Datejust. I then sold the SS Datejust because I wore the SS/Gold all the time. I then went for the presidential since that's what I really wanted from the beginning and I sold the SS/Gold datejust since I didn't wear that anymore.

I have my eye on a Patek Phillipe model 5036/1 as well as something non-mainstream like Audemars Piguet. My next acquisition won't have diamonds in it, just a plain Gold or Platinum (probably gold) timepiece like a Patek or Audemars. In all honesty, Rolex is starting to feel too "common" to me these days... Although there aren't a hell of alot of people wearing $20,000.00 on their wrist like I do, it's still to "known" by the average person. :(

I buy my employees Rolex's, so they have no excuse to be late. Also bought my dad a nice one last year.

Me, I wear a Rolex granny bought me. See Ynot 1998 for the story.

Now...who wants to start a sweepstake on how many are fake $20 jobs and how many are real? :)

Personally I'm far too cheap to even spend $20 on a watch. The mobile keeps the time which is good enough.

I love SS and Cobalt, so this watch works for me. Very solid and heavy, and since it's about $100 I don't feel like an asshat for losing it or breaking it. :thumbsup
