Online video stores - Licensing Question.

Say you wanted to open a "blockbuster video" online. Just as a paysite lets you view porn movies, why not let let ppl view non adult movies?

What kind of licensing would you need to be legit? I know you can go to the motion pic assoc and get a general license for public viewing.. But what if these vides are not motion pictures? Would you really have to get licenses from each indivisual publisher?

And for all you theifs and scammers... This is NOT the full idea and thought.... So steal all you want, cause you aint stealin my idea... Is just a way to ask my question.. ;)

The trick would be to have assurances that the files do not end up loosely protected.

That would probably be the toughest battle at the table with Mainstream Movie Peeps after all they pretty nervous about DVD rips these days.
