When you pay on only 7 out of 9 consoles (Like Zebra Said) then basically why does the sponsor even care if you get any sales on the 7 they pay on???......If the sales are on the 2 (or more) that they are not paying you on, then you are basically feeding them FREE traffic to use for their own profit.......:2 cents: :2 cents:

They have console free links. and it is revshare so go pop up free if that is what you want.

Personal opinion? User clicks an add, checks the tour maybe, sees a price, but doesn't want to sign up (yet)... then back means back... people don't click 'back' or 'no' accidentally. And if they do they can just click the banner again. I think any console is too many. Just imagine how ticked off you are yourself if people keep asking you if you want to buy something when you said a very clear 'no' the first time they contacted. Consoles tend to annoy people. The majority of the surfers now are very hesitant to click banners due to the fact that they have been seeing a few consoles too many on ads...

Anyway, this has nothing to do with ego, I'm not telling people what they can or can't promote. I am telling people what galleries I link to from my own site. I think I'm entitled to that since we're talking about links on my own site...

Could be my spam filter, it's set to very agressive 'cause I tend to get over 2700 e-mails every day (at a quit day)... I'll drop an e-mail to [email protected] from an e-mail address that is sure to arrive (no spam filter)...

I very seriously doubt that in the long run there will be more sales with these consoles. 20% increase in sales might be, but it's blinding the fact that you pissed off all people that didn't sign up.

What's the conversion on those banners? Let's just assume 1 in 400 clicks, I'm just picking a number, you do the math with the correct numbers if I'm too far off... That means 20% more sales means that not 1 out of 400, but 1 out of 320 sign up. That's leaves 319 people that have to go through 9 exit consoles they don't want. How many of those people do you think will click that banner again??

And even with a converion of 1 in 200 we're talking about 1 in 160 when the conversion goes up 20%, which still means 159 people get 9 consoles to sign up the extra 1 guy...

"one upon a time" the Internet has a majority of newbie surfers, now it's a majority of experienced surfers that sign up for a site 'cause it offers what they want to see... Surfers get smart, sell quality and they will sign up. Annoy 'em with 9 consoles on a banner and they'll abandon banners.

Just imagine what you would do if you clicked a banner and got 9 consoles... would that gain your trust? Would it make you sign up? I remember all hell broke loose when a Playboy banner started popping up on this board. That same exact reaction is there with the surfers...

You know whats worse than a long chain of popups. Sites that give you a fucking blur console just for visiting the main page. This is one of the reasons my conversions with maxcash suck. Blur console on all their sites, then if you close the blur console, you get a chain of 6 or 7 popups. That must seriously annoy sooooo many surfers.

Consoles suck worse than spam IMHO. Unfortunately (fortunately?) they make money for programs. If a company is grossing 5 million a year that 20% means $1 mil to the bottom line. No one can honestly expect anyone in their right mind to give up an extra million.

This is not a conversation we will be having this time next year thanks to the pop up blockers like the one I am using now (Google toolbar).

Short term million you mean, in the long term the people that were annoyed by the consoles won't click the banners twice (honestle, would you?). What market do you think will be making the millions, the ever shrinking newbie market or the ever growing experienced market...

If you are flashcashand don't expect them to bookmark the tour and check it once in awhile then the popups make sense but other programs with big tours must get people checking it over and over and then signing up. 9 consoles stops that.

20%? I believe it's more like 2-5% now if your own site didn't convert well it could very well be 20% or even more off consoles (inversely proportional). Yet, supposing (just for the heck of it) you are correct and it's decent 20% but that 20% could turn into 30%+ off bookmark sales if there was no console (take Hun's word for it, he knows what he's saying when it comes to "bookmarks" :)) (unless ofcourse your site sucked then definitely you'd need consoles.. but I already said that). So that means with your pops and $1 million additional you are still losing $500,000. Then again it wouldn't benefit an affiliate if nothing was done to give credit for bookmark sales to affiliates so.. well.. square 1 :(
