It was different than today alot of the people in porn, moonlighted from the movie business. Also they made one or two movies a year, so it wasnt whatever the camera spit out we print.

A directory job is to bring out the best from each actor and knows he/she is puting his/her reputation on the line on the movie he/she is making.

One thing you youngsters are not taking into account, the reason some of the stories back then were better was because for something to avoid an obscenity trial it had to actually have artistic merit.

It's amazing now days you can just shoot a video with nothing but guys pissing in a chick's mouth...back then that would have been deemed obscene and meant jail time.

No it of course has not change. However back in the 70's with successes like Deep Throat etc, you had movies that were almost Hollywood Quality and were accepted by the mainstream.

Ever see the cast in Caligula? You think they'd actually ever do something like that today? Hell no.

Yes they will and soon. Only reason hollywood pulled back first time was that porn started to get prosecuted. It was a finacial risk. Well ummm have you turned on HBO lately? Anyone catch Porn 101? That showed cum shots.

None of them were the super star actors of there day. In todays terms they are mid range character actors. Just as prone to be in B grade small budget flicks as they are to show up as bit parts in bigger movies.

I have heard that there is a mainstream movie with a BJ and money shot coming out of the indy scene in hollywood, with some actress from boys dont cry (which was an acadamy award winning movie).

With the sheer number of wanna be actors and actresses, Some producer and director will get it done, even if it only has real actors in non balling rolls. Once that gate opens the slippery slope is in full effect.

Actually it's not a mainstream movie, it's an art/independent film, same actor/director who did Buffalo 66, and yes the chick from Boys Don't Cry is in it...not the one who one the award but Cloe Sevigny who is pretty much an Indie staple.
