Oh son, if you only knew the forest you are about to enter.

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Just kidding, marriage is great in many ways, and everyone should experience it at least once.

But trust me, right after the part when the justice of the peace says I now pronounce you mr and mrs .... , her new personality will emerge.

Having a child is the very best part. That I'd do over again if the right girl comes along. But the day in day out challenges of marriage, whew, its rough let me tell you.

So ive heard... *straps on the armour* I still stand strong by the mentality of "if your wife doesn't like the smell of your cigar, change your wife"... Well see how this goes, I expect it with mrs nette to be quite enjoyable

im single.

most of the time i love it. i like my space. and i want to focus on my business right now. work and financial security are top priority. i just hit 30 and in april i had to start over again on the business front. so its very sobering & has caused me to focus very intently on what i want.

but sometimes it does bug me. being 30 and coming home to an empty house can smack you in the face now and then. i really dont see myself ever being 'married', not that i could be if i wanted. but in my case, i dont see a partner anytime soon, if ever.

trust is a big issue with me too WG & quiet. just seems like you never really know another person, regardless of how well you think you know them. sucks.

i hear you quiet... the feeling of freedom is like a breath of fresh air.. i love not answering to anybody and having my space
i love being guiltlessly selfish on a daily basis. nothing beats it.

Of course being 26.. dont want to be single forever.. biological clock and all .. but while i have the chance to be free, i'm soaking it up.

jacker 10-15-2003 05:26 AM

I think, therefore I am single.

Been single for a few months now. Hated it, until some recent events which have led me to believe being single is actually the biggest blessing a young man can have :glugglug

um.... didn't you buy your house with a chick?

Being single was good, but being happily married is better. Being happily married with two kids is the best.

If I had known how good it was going to be with having children, I would have knocked up some gal years ago.

Unfed 10-15-2003 07:42 AM

been single for 2 weeks now... so far so good... :thumbsup

titmowse 10-15-2003 09:23 AM

I bet that Porsche contributed a bit to your feeling better about being single :)

alias 10-15-2003 09:30 AM

Don't worry quiet, you will find a man soon. :thumbsup

Katlicious72 10-15-2003 09:34 AM

I'm 31 single and happy. I have my friends my family, I travel and I love life. Before I felt I was doomed. I had the "nobody wants me complex" but one day I told myself to stop crying a river and suck up. I'm a tough girl. Being single has alot of advantages. And I don't have kids yet, so I'm really lucky in that aspect. I do what I want, when I want, with whom I want, whenever I want..:thumbsup

chowda 10-15-2003 09:36 AM

its been almost 1 year since i havent been single. its been up and down but still worth it. she likes learning new lingo like arabian goggles and bukkake.

BlackCrayon 10-15-2003 09:59 AM

i've been single as in alone basically my entire life. i don't seem to have much luck with relationships. rarely do i find a girl who really sparks that interest, and when i do, always shit in the way. i mean i have girlfriends here and there, but they never seem to get to any real serious point before something happens and im back to square 1. sometimes its cool but it mostly sucks. i'd like to have a real relationship with someone for once.

i felt the same way you did at 26 and trust me that may change. i am in my 30's, have not been in a relationship since 97 (the last 2 relationships i had prior to 97 were 3 years and 6 years) and i am not missing out on a thing. i have my friends, i have myself and if i want a kid, i will try to adopt if the urge comes. guys can be every bit as nagging and possessive as women and boy it isnt fun.

life is awesome :thumbsup

Not single

:(

Goatse 10-15-2003 10:51 AM

The girls I want are not attracted to me. Therefore, I am single. I'd rather be alone than waste my time on someone that I don't really care about.

Ross 10-15-2003 10:56 AM

I don't wanna be single but have no problems with people who do

Congrats Quiet. Now go find a chick :winkwink:

gornyhuy 10-15-2003 11:10 AM

Still very happily married (almost 7 years now) but at times, I envy the single life.

(Is that the definition of 7 year itch?)

Furious_Female 10-15-2003 12:09 PM

I've never been married but I spent ages 17-22 committed to the same guy. Broke up 18 months ago and it has sucked. But I think sometimes I am happier being alone than settling for what I don't think is "perfect" for me. I wouldn't get involved with anyone else until I deal with my issues. I have a problem with trust as well. Any new relationship doesn't deserve baggage.

Been single for 8 years now.. Before that I had a GF for 2 days..

Life is grand!

Honeyslut 10-15-2003 01:06 PM

Married in name ! :drinkup to the single people !

Only thing I ever nagged about was not getting laid and telling the old man to get to the doctor.

Guys , sometimes you should listen to the nagging cause there might be a chance your old lady has brains.

My hub found out he has had a pituitary tumor for many many years..

:winkwink:

I guess you have to appreciate life as you live it -- instead of being stuck in that "what's next" thinking...

TheFLY 10-15-2003 05:00 PM

I'd rather be in a relationship... intimacy is where it's at...

HS-Trixxxia 10-15-2003 05:20 PM

:thumbsup When you feel complete - single or married - and not feeling like you're lacking anything (not speaking of materialistic stuff) that's the greatest feeling to wakeup and tackle each day!
Good for you!
