Everyone just needs to calm the fuck down. One more day isn't going to kill the Cubs or us die-hard fans. The punk-ass, green turtleneck wearin' "fan" will just slink on back to the South side (I'm assuming) incognito for a hellish life where he will eventually be recognized and beaten. Kerry Wood will be ON tonight and the party will commence the world over, which will only be dwarfed by the real blow-out once the Cubs win the World Series.
Let's play one! Holy Cow! Hey! Hey! Cubs Win! Cubs Win! :Kissmy |
you wanna lynch someone, lynch gonzales for dropping that inning ending double play ball, had he not dropped that the kid issue would have never arose
like any of you people wouldnt have gone for that ball |

The apology of the fan:
"There are few words to describe how awful I feel and what I have experienced within these last 24 hours. I've been a Cub fan all my life and fully understand the relationship between my actions and the outcome of the game. I had my eyes glued on the approaching ball the entire time and was so caught up in the moment that I did not even see Moises Alou, much less that he may have had a play. Had I thought for one second that the ball was playable or had I seen Alou approaching I would have done whatever I could to get out of the way and give Alou a chance to make the catch. To Moises Alou, the Chicago Cubs organization, Ron Santo, Ernie Banks, and Cub fans everywhere I am so truly sorry from the bottom of this Cubs fan's broken heart. I ask that Cub fans everywhere redirect the negative energy that has been vented towards my family, my friends, and myself into the usual positive support for our beloved team on their way to being National League champs." http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/m...=.jsp&c_id=chn |

Associated Press
CHICAGO -- The fan who played in a key role in the Chicago Cubs' collapse in Game 6 of the NL championship series apologized Wednesday, saying he was brokenhearted. With the Cubs five outs from advancing to the World Series for the first time since 1945, Steve Bartman tried to grab a foul ball, preventing outfielder Moises Alou from catching it. That helped the Florida Marlins rally for an 8-3 victory to tie the NL championship series Tuesday night. "I had my eyes glued on the approaching ball the entire time and was so caught up in the moment that I did not even see Moises Alou, much less that he may have had a play," Bartman said in a statement. "Had I thought for one second that the ball was playable or had I seen Alou approaching, I would have done whatever I could to get out of the way and give Alou a chance to make the catch." The 26-year-old Bartman was escorted by security guards from Wrigley Field after he was threatened by angry fans and pelted with debris. Bartman apologized to Cubs fans everywhere, adding he was "truly sorry from the bottom of this Cubs fan's broken heart." "I ask that Cub fans everywhere redirect the negative energy that has been vented towards my family, my friends, and myself into the usual positive support for our beloved team on their way to being National League champs," Bartman said. now the kid's crying...too fucking late moron:mad: :ak47: |
