please post STOCK tips.

ok, I just transferred 3K into my Etrade account ready for trade. Please post some stock tips. I missed out on the fast acacia rise.
I still kinda want to get in. Even if it's just a little gain.. some earning is better then no earning.

Anyone?

We have IRA's set up so I'm looking for some quick returns that will be used for serious long term investments later.

inco

nickel prices will continue to go up because of lack of supply. i have a price target of 45 on inco.

trying to get into a momentum based market can be dangerous. you missed the big gains which started a year ago. a lot of stocks are overvalued right now.

We used to do some trading several years ago during the Tech rush, had a few Janus funds before they went south. It's a good thing we sold before they all took a dump. We took a little hit on mutual funds but not too bad at all.

We've been out since then.

Has anyone every used Doug Fabian? I listen to his radio show from time to time and he seems to really know his shit.

Hey redshoe.

I got acacia at 1.80 per, and I think that today they closed in the 7 range. I think that will go up a few more dollars before they fall, so if you want it get it now. But I would not put more than 500... Not wirth the risk.

as for others to watch... JDSU, ALLP, MU, FDRY nad KOSP

I have all of these and they have been gaining the last few months. But you may want jump on some now.

I also have some mutual funds that are returning about 22 ans 23%

Good luck.

low 20's in this market? thats not even beating the market. i'd be looking for some new mutual funds because the guys running it are likely idiots.

i don't follow mutual funds. but what i would do is look at the track record of the portfolio manager. you want to see a solid track record over a 5-10 year period. specifically you want to see someone who can beat the market during bear markets. any idiot can make money during a bull run.

i would include global value funds and small caps in a portfolio of mutual funds. us tech and large cap stocks are pumped up pretty high right now, so most mutual funds in these areas might not be the top performers in 2004.

metal funds could perform well. some people i talk to say gold could break 400+, but that could depend on the economy being more on the sluggish side. nickel stocks should perform well, but inco is pretty much the only solid company imo.

yeah i deal with metal daily.. platinum is very high right now.. i think today was $730 an ounce.. Summer it was around 660 - 690..

gold was close to breaking 400 at peak times when war with iraq was close.. i think i remember the high being around 392..

do you know of any websites off hand for non-biased mutual fund reviews?

there was an article recently on cnbc.com about some top performing fund managers. other than that i havent seen anything. but then again i don't look. i view mutual funds as a waste for me since very few funds could outperform me.

alternative energy stocks are another possibility to get great gains. imo they're all have a bit longer than a 2 year time horizen tho.
