ccbill woes?

three issues i'm concerned about. 1) the problems reported yesterday in a thread about ccbill sign up pages not working after info was inputted 2) this letter from diesel cash (a ccbill affiliate):

"Dear Webmasters,
First of all we would like to inform you about the technical problem, we experienced during the last 7 days. Due to the error in the signup forms a noticeable part of the sales referred by you was not counted and for this reason you have probably noticed a lower then usual signup rates.
We feel ourselves responsible for this matter and ask you to accept our apologies. In addition to this, we would like to offer you compensation and therefore starting today and during 7 days from now, for each sale you refer and for each rebill from the sales you referred in the past you will be credited for 80% of the sale amount. So taking the standard subscription price of $34.96, you will be credited for each sale and rebill by $27.96."

and 3) something my friend just told me about her personal signups: "yes they are and in fact I have had like 7 or 8 expirations of people in the past few days who sign up almost every single month and they have not re-signed up yet..."

not to mention my affiliate sales were down in the last week (though up until now i was just writing it off to a bad week).

so were the diesel cash problems widespread ccbill problems? it's really nice of them to take responsibility for it if so. too bad they aren't the sponser i'm missing all the sign ups from.

i would assume however, if this was widespread i'd already see a thread about it, which i don't........

Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

The ccbill signup pages should have been working fine as of yesterday afternoon. If you notice anything unusual, email [email protected].

The dieselcash issue was an isolate one and completely unrelated

As for #3, if you send me the details, I c an check it out

Isn't it "odd" how we were complaining when we had iBill and now now that many sponsors switched to CCBill, we complain about CCBill?

Personally, I have seen some of the patterns mentioned in this original post, since 2000 for an AVS I promoted that used CCBill. Sometimes my sales dump and I get 10 in 5 minutes and then the next day, my ratio goes straight to hell. It's the same ole story, all the time. Great sales for a week and then "suddenly" sales are half the next week. It's really annoying

Anyone know if CCBill reports check sign ups in real time or is there a holding period?

We spent several hours on the phone yesterday with ccbill staff including the head of tech support. As many program owners we were wantng information on what was going on and when this issue would be fixed.

It appears that everything is running well now and the form issue was only a couple hour event yesterday and all is working fine. Its my understanding that they had a database issue... basically it got way to big and needed to be moved to other servers in order to make the new upgrades and system (stats) work. It is my understanding that the change over is now complete and its working well. It was also made clear that any sale that did not show up on the stats would show up as soon as the situation was brought under control. That has happened also. All affiliate sales have now shown up and the sales that were missing from our admin have also shown up. Looks as if everything is back on track and our "adds" in our log files match our sales. It also looks as if any affiliate issues have been resolved and everyone received full credit for sales that did not show during there down time, with the exception of the time that the forms were down.

However, one area I feel ccbill really dropped the ball was in there communication with there webmasters. When people are left to speculate on what is happening... many different opinions of whats going on can develop. After spending a ton of time yesterday on the phone with them I am totally comfortable and understand the situation they ran into. But, it took a very pointed pone ocnversation to get the information I needed to help me understand. That should have never happened.

CCbill is a great company and one that will be around for years. It just appears that they had a huge growth spurt over the past few months and there system was not totally prepared to handle it. Remember, when Globill went down over night nad ccbill ended up gettting a very large percentage of Globill accounts? It seems it was an unxpected spurt of growth, they, or there systems were not prepared to at that time. However, it appears they have gotten there system all upgraded and its working great.

Maybe this is the wrong thread for this question. I will start a new one if I dont get an answer here.

I promote for companies that use CCbill as a processor. For example Traffic Cash and even AVSs like SexKey. I was curious does CCbill bulk any of our sales for any reason? Is there a common delay in transporting actual sales to stats for these big players?

The reason I ask is I have seen a trend (thats been going on for 2-3 years now- Not being sarcastic at all.) where I can go an entire day and see no sale yet at 12:30am I get 3 or 4 at once. I cant see how this is possible.

What are some possible causes for this?
