But they give you the run around when you call, and/or won't respond when you email them.

They're scum..not unlike other billing companies that eventually went out of business.

most billing companies before they crash and burn take all the affiliates money and make excuses

it's smart business for them to cover their ass and do this

Remember the 100 rule?
This is also over a 5 month period..not one month.
Not to mention that 3 of the chargebacks were due to failure of PSW software to issue them a working id & pw!

Darren have they paid you anything at all? Didn't they owe you something like $250k?

Bump.

I got a reply from them basically saying that their old bank is still withholding funds, so at this time I will only be paid for transactions past September 10th.

"We are proceeding with legal pressure to retrieve these funds."

I received a check yesterday, first one I have seen in months. Looks like it covers the week past September 10th. See my earlier reply in this thread regarding release of funds before that date.

I must post that we did receive a wire today. we still have many to go. It would be very nice if they can just go out every wednesday. we need stability and consistency.

John Lombardi - it would be nice if your company sent out an email memo stating your status with banks, etc.... Not nice to be left in the dark while being owed money.

I'm seeing a lawyer tomorrow to discuss the possibility of suing PSW for the money they owe me. I've spent today emailing webmasters of sites using PSW to ask them whether they'd been receiving payments from PSW (I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one), and if not, whether they'd be interested in putting their name to a collective lawsuit.

PSW has made my life hell for the past 4-5 months. Not only have they not paid me, they told me that my checks (for overdue back payments) had actually been posted out to me. As I have just recently moved to Spain and am relying for most of my income from my webite subs, I had to borrow money from friends, avoid paying my rent etc (not a happy situation), and *then* borrow more money on the strength of PSW's assurance that they had actually mailed out my back payments - which never arrived, of course.

And throughout all of this PSW is still collecting hundreds of dollars pw from my website.

****

BTW, has anybody actually contacted Visa or Mastercard to find out whether they have, in fact, witheld funds from PSW? It sounds dubious to me.... Surely it would be illegal for a bank to withold funds that had been legitimately deposited, and which belonged to other people?
Or am I missing something?

In any event I don't see how this has anything to do with me. If PSW can't pay their customers, they shouldn't be in business.
What is even more infuriating to me is that they are still accepting new accounts, and claiming on the website that they end out "weekly, on time payments".

As far as I can see, they're just a gang of crooks.

This is getting really messy, PSW do not offer itemised details of checks sent on their web interface so it's anyones guess what the checks that are arriving actually cover. Even the list they manually sent me showed some checks as sent when they were actually withheld.

Seems psw's modus operandi is instead of going out of biz, they say they are in biz and put out a few bucks here and there to a few people, telling others that "we mailed the check", but of course you never get them, or something technical comes up (like holding your reserves..hmmm...they've held mine now..about 6 months past the time they were supposed to start paying them back for fear of future chargebacks..and todate..ZERO chargebacks..but I haven't gotten my reserves atall).

I used to think politicians and lawyers were the scum of the earth..now I've found lower scum!

or sending checks that then bounce.

theres no way they can stay in bizness now surely with the new visa law etc, everyone as dropped them so they can not be doing transact volume to cover the CBS.....

surely the next reason they wilkl tell u that u will never get paid is because u broke the 1% cb limit.

and fuck me what do i get in my email today:

It has been brought to our attention that your account has accrued a high chargeback rate relative to its sales volume. Within a recent 60 day window, your account has had activity as follows:

Total Sales: $2279.15

Chargebacks: $69.95 (5.88% of transactions, 3.1% of total sales)

The credit card companies (Visa and Mastercard) require us to keep chargeback rates below 1% at all times. Therefore, your account is now closed with us. All rebills have been cancelled and all payouts will be held until such time as we can ascertain the effect of chargebacks on your reserve withholding and account balance.

Oh shit. I mentioned to someone else to move processors yesterday, but I also added that they should keep PSW for some initial transactions so that the chargeback levels wouldn't end up going crazy due to the delay between the trans and chargeback dates. As an afterthought I mentioned that artificially high chargeback could give PSW an excuse to cancel the account and withhold all of the funds (including reserves) for an indefinite period.

Looks like you've been screwed in exactly that way, Darren. Sounds like you have enough $ to mount something serious. Go get 'em.

Did you back off on the initial transactions with PSW after their problems started or is that an accurate chargeback figure?

we are still missing wires. What bothers me the most is that no one from the company has made any public statements regarding their problems, issues. They are keeping all their customers in the dark.

the other thing is that they are now using a new bank with a new processing Descriptor and they have not changed the descriptor on their join pages. Instead of the pswhelp descriptor now customers credit card statements say Jp Media Inc. And they have not changed the descriptor info on the join pages to reflect this.

darren, we are also being very reasonable here. THey need to pick up the damn phone, send out emails. Do something. at this point, i will say it again, PSW is very unprofessional. Lombardi needs to get out from under his desk, grow some balls and put out a public statement.
