candid still down?

Its been over 4 hours now, and still multiple servers of mine are down. Candid have closed my trouble tickets as being "resolved" even though there is no connectivity to either box. It seems strange for a number of reasons:

1. Couldn't be hardware (one is pinging but services are not running)
2. Marking current issues as resolved?
3. Other machines on the network are online

After speaking with a tech he said he would put it in for an admin to look at....at 9am. So we're looking at 9+ hours of downtime AT LEAST before anything gets done.

Now I've had my share of good hosts and bad hosts, but this scenario is entirely new to me. Seems like they're not really that worried about whats happening, getting blaze responses on the phone doesn't fill me with a whole lot of confidence.

Fuck candid

yeah i guess i've just got to sit there and twiddle my thumbs until someone over there decides to do something, anything.

they keep saying "oh we've rebooted the servers". Now why would you need to reboot a server that is only down due to a router being packeted? I know for a fact my servers at work here dont flake out and die here when net is an issue. I dont see why thy keep saying that it is a solution.

I hate downtime, my box was down today for 2 fucking hours. I can see that ripple thoughout my trades, signups, everything. Fuck. Oh well, every host has downtime. You just gotta pray it doesnt happen too often.
