My Victory Vegas

Of course, it doesnt look like that anymore. Oh and I dont have the use of my left leg for 5 months either. Did I mention the ambulance ride, and the surgery to put in a steel plate and 6 big screws?

Seriously, its a great bike. One of the best I've ever ridden in 23 years of riding. Handles great, has plenty of power, sounds great, looks great. Fuel injected so starting is easy. Gets alot of looks everywhere you go. And there are few things in the world better than riding a big fat v-twin cruiser down the hiway.

I'd still be riding mine if it hadnt been for some fuckwit in a U-Haul truck that hit me and left me laying in the road.

that's good to hear. are you going to ride again?

i've been looking at either an '03 honda vt750 'Ace', or the newer version the 04 vt750 aero (same thing pretty much.. shaft-driven), or a harley xl 883C custom sportster.

i dunno what i wanna do tho. not really willing to spend $20k on a bike right now tho.

Yeah I'll be riding again. I'm thinking 04 Honda Interceptor next.

I had a 02 vt750 "Spirit"
Was a nice bike, cant beat it for the price.

well, at least you've got will about you

the honda seems like a nice bike, and has the styling more along the lines of the fat boy, which i like more.

of course, a harley is a harley. everyone will make fun of me if i buy a honda cruiser, but fuck them anyways.

the honda is quite a bit cheaper, especially if i go with the 03. the shaft drive on the 04 has my interest, but i dunno if it really makes a difference.

yeah, i'm sure you're right about that. a friend of mine has an 883, base model i believe. he gets laughed at once in a while from random harley owners for riding a "bitch bike", but they're usually cool with him.

it seems tho a lot of the cool cruise events they have are harley-only.

I've never, ever seen a cruise event that was for one specific brand and they turned away all others. Bikers like being around other bikers.

they've had a few events. i dunno if there were any non-harley bikes there, but i sure didn't see any. they actually all came out and stopped out at the dealership i worked for one day. had like 300 bikes there, all harleys.

it seems around here there are sport bikes, and harleys.

but i'm sure i could work it in there anways, on some events.

mostly i'm just looking for something fun to roll in, and since a good bit of my driving is done with just me, why not have fun and save fuel?

Indeed. It's different in different places, but in general you're probably going to get along if you don't act like a punk.
