Is it worth switching from Windows media 8 encoder over to 9? Do customers complain about having to upgrade thier viewer?

as usual customers on macs have a problem with windows media 9, Macs don't go past 8. Up untill a few days ago Microsoft was not planning a WM9 version for mac. Now that they want WM9 to become the industry standard for .. well everything, a version of WM9 is planned before the end of the year.

People bitched when we went from 6 to 8, I just wanted to know if we were the only ones with this cutomer trnasition problem. Also we want to start our own VOD and PPV program and it was suggested to use nine.
