What else have you liked recently? It's been a disappointing year for video games for me. Waiting for Halo II. How long until they get to work on Elder Scrolls IV?

Don't bother buying AoW II, it isn't really worth that... it's readily available on Kazaa though, and a relatively small download

Last games I really liked were Baldur's Gate I & II, Neverwinter Nights, Morrowind... games are evil though, they take up way too much time

Yeah, Morrowind is bad-ass. I can't bring myself to start a second game. Nothing like burning a whole month of time. I'll wait for the next one. Baldur's Gate is pretty cool. Pretty hack-n-slash. Too linear. I was in the mood to kill when I played it though. ;-) I don't like being driven through the game. That's why Morrowind is so cool.

With the Vikings Invasion expansion pack, you get a fuckload of new military units, and can now use boiling oil in siege defense. Also, you can easily mod a few text files to make the game as hard as you like. YOu can wage war with Catholics, Orthodox Christians, Pagans, Muslims - heck, you can even drop an assasin on the Pope to see if that can do something about that little Excommunication problem....

If your PC can play it, this game fucking rules. The turn based strategy is just pure evil (assainations, marrying into/off Princesses, spys, Inquisitions, rebelions, civil wars, commerce) but then you add the fantastic real time battles, and this game is just too fucking cool. The screen shots dont do it justice, as weather and terrain play big roles in combat.
