El Demonio 10-14-2003 10:31 AM

Oh, i see, you are used to more hard beating, then you are a pro at taking it hard?

well, maybe i was too harsh at you, as maybe, just maybe, your intentions were good.

But tell your fucking boss, the AWM community is VERY pissed off at billing companies!, worldwide!

4Pics 10-14-2003 10:35 AM

Why people don't just use netbilling and save the hassle is beyond me.

As I said, sometimes our servers do time out for whatever reason. However, in a case where the consumer cannot make a purchase after trying several times, there is obviously a problem of some kind on their end also, whether it be connection speed, security settings, etc... If this were not the case, we wouldn't be able to process anything and the fact is, we do process. We process thousands of transactions every hour.

not entirely true there...

from a general point of view, the server can be missconfigured allowing say a maximum of 200 connections at once to a database, or to apache itself for example...

while you can ALWAYS connect to it, and most can, some will get rejected.... the only way to know this is by having someone tell you and have a wise tech... (or maybe there's some other techniques which I dunno, am no tech ;) )

just speaking out of past experience here

Ok, I have forwarded that over to tech...I am sure they already know but just in case...

Thanks

El Demonio 10-14-2003 11:00 AM

did you told your boss?

go do it!

run....:BangBang:

jacker 10-14-2003 11:13 AM

I don't think "my boss" would be "my boss" and would not have brought PaySystems from a one man show to processing over 2 billion dollars in 2002 if he did not have the brains to realize that the adult industry is pissed at billing companies.

Give a guy some credit...you didn't enlighten us.

El Demonio 10-14-2003 11:19 AM

I did not wanted to enlight you, you came here to surpris...., sorry, 'enlight' us

i just wanted to shout at what you reporesent, that's all. nothing personal.

but as i know realize that you are only an employee acomplishing an ill-fated mission, well, i can understand that.

El Demonio

jacker 10-14-2003 11:22 AM

Ok dude...

El Demonio 10-14-2003 11:22 AM

and the fuck about big figures in processing, the important thing in biz is not how much you sale, but how much your earn.

If you sale 2 trillion and keep only 2 million, that is a sound failure.

You sure as hell pissed us off. We run a singles site that is squeaky clean (we don't allow adult content and we have strict membership requirements) and you fuckers terminated our account because of 'excessive charge backs'. IMO the chargeback ratio is a direct indicator of the card processors ability to effectively screen potentially fraudulent transactions. In this case you guys fucked up and then gave us the arse. Some of the transactions you guys let through were so fucking obviously fraud that blind Freddy would have spotted it. We had a nigerian fucker that used the same card maybe 8 or 10 times. WE CANCELLED HIS ACCOUNT STRAIGHT AWAY ... EVERY TIME. You guys authorised this same card maybe 3 or 4 times after you had voided it for fraud before you woke up to the fact that it was a fraudulent transaction.

Granted, it's not easy to sort out the genuine from the fraudulent sometimes but I am just so pissed off that :ak47: PaySystems fucked up and then terminated *our* account because of *their* mistakes.

Yup yup.. Been there, done that. I guess I'm lucky enough to not have had any chargebacks. I've been scrubbing them all myself.
Here's what I've been doing all day boyz and girlz. Oh, and the hot card? Still sitting my admin... Captured.

Hi Steve,

Ok. this is the information I have on the situation. One thing, this guy e-mailed me and claims he used his buddy's card. Problem is, he used 3 different names, 2 credit cards and gave me 2 fake phone numbers.

First of all, we are not an American billing company, but that's ok...research is for librarians. Secondly, taking a beating was expected; thirdly, I don't really care that I am taking a beating. People fuck up, companies fuck up, I fuck up, you fuck up...and at some place at some time, that fuck up has to be accounted for. Right now, I am taking the heat for a lot of past fuckups. If I have to eat a little bit of shit to gain a lot of business, so be it.

By the way, if you think this is a hard beating, you need to get out more.

James

You are really winning people over with your professionalism.

You are absolutely right. I apologize for the outburst; I was annoyed at the redundant and seemingly pointless ranting. That is no excuse...it should not have happened. It will not happen again.

Sincerely
James
