For those that gave ideas of what to get my wife.
Ok for all of you that wanted to know about the gift I chose for my wife here here it is.
When she was growing up she only knew the person who she called dad was her apdopted dad. This is the man who took care of her every need as a child. This man left her life when she was 23. Her mother still had the wedding ring from when she got married to my wifes adopted dad put away. Although she was going to leave the ring in her will. My wife didn't know this ring still existed. Besides the fact it is an incredible ring (people who were here that saw it in person can attest to this fact) It holds a lot of sentimental value to my wife. I contacted her mother and asked if this ring still existed To my joy and surprise the answer was yes. My inlaws and myself thought it would be the greatest thing if I could put that ring on my wifes finger as a symbol of the love I have for her. So they shipped me the ring and I had it resized and all the prongs redone. This is a 2 pice ring the under band has 12 diamonds in it. The uppper band has a 2 carat diamond in the middle with 12 more diamonds around the top. It was a piece of her childhood that she thought was lost forever. But now she will wear it proudly every day and know that I loved her enough to allow her the memories of her childhood as well as remember the day she married me. |
