I used to like Dell computers... now WTF!!

my Inspiron 4000 laptop has been great for me the last 3 years. about 3 weeks ago I had to send in my laptop to get my dvd/cd burner drive fixed.

I still have it under warrenty and I had to send my laptop in about a year ago to get the monitor repaired... but that was because of my ex girlfriend or sister at the time.


The same thing happened this time as last time.. I got the custom color inserts for the pads and the monitor...(Dell customers know what I am talking about...) Well they always forget to put my custom colors back in when I get my laptop back... I dont know why the hell they take them out in the first place.

But its just a pain in the ass to have to call them be on the phone for an hour or two to get my colors back that I paid extra money for!

This time they sent me an invoice for the color inserts, why the fuck should I pay that? its there fucking fault they didnt put in back in my laptop before shipment.


Such a pain in the ass!! something so simple!

actually I have had 2 dell laptops and both have been great. right now I am running a latitude c600, its about 2 years old but still works like a charm.

I love my old dell notebook, but I'd not buy a new one.

I'd also avoid Sony and Toshiba.

I love the laptop... I have never had problems with it... except for the dvd/combo drive... but thats normal.


The customer service lately has just pissed me off.

since dell outsourced all their sales and support to india...this sort of thing has been happening

that is easily fixable and would have ben solved post haste before

Exactly!! I can barely understand the guy I was talking to... he barely spoke english. All the ways to save a buck and customer service goes downhill.
