Sound Card Disappeared
all of a sudden I reboot today and somehow WinXP has lost my sound card, my computer is DEAF AND MUTE!!!
i've used Windows troubleshooter and it didn't help, Device Manager says it's working properly but in some other screen everything is grayed out as if i didn't have a sound card on the system. anybody ever have this happen? if so any advice what to try would be appreciated.

reinstall the sound card driver.....or if its plug and play take it out reboot, then put it in and reboot again and see if windows detects new hardware....
