just popping in ... surgery went well!!!

to those who care, the surgery went very well.

she went in on monday morning, and had surgery at 8am. i was there, and didnt leave until about 2hrs ago. now i am at her house (might go home tonight?)

they found a 6 inch mass wrapped around her uterous (spelled wrong?), we initially thought they would have to remove her ovaries, but as it turned out they didnt need to remove anything at all except the tumor!! YAHOOOOOOOO!!!

anyhow, it was a long 3 days sleeping in a hospital wooden chair next to her, but now i will be home and back to work most likely tonight/tommorow.

Thanks for all that wished her luck, our prayers came true!!

anyhow, im off to check some stats, then go make sure she is ok .. prolly wont see much of me until i am at my own house.

As much as people here may or may not like you, this isn't about you. This is about your woman (I'm thinking), and cancer is terrifying. I'm to go in for surgery in December, since my tumor couldn't be removed completely, they're just gonna give me a partial hysterectomy and be done with it. thanks for all kind words guys, last thing i expected (which is why i logged right off)

jokes and flames are one thing, but GFY is not reality. thanks to the people who realized that.

yes it was very stressful, we were deathly afraid she would not have been able to have children, the doctor told us that was going to be the case.

but after a 3hr surgery he came out with a HUGE smile and said they left everything intact! only her huge ass tumor came out, and they are 98% sure it is benign. external autopsy is going on now, wont know for several days atleast.

times are very trying, and i am doing all i can to keep her and her family in good spirits.

as well, she got near 30 staples across her belly, they did a bikini cut. Doctor said it was a very similar surgery to a C-Section.

so she is having trouble walking around, i have to carry her alot.

well, TTYL ... and thanks again for the kind words, she will be happy to read them later!

Great news LilRich, great news! I am pulling for you and her recovery....treat her well, she has a long 3 weeks ahead..and the surgical I am fat blues for another 5 weeks...

Be attentive because she is going to need to be reassured the scar does not turn you off or make her feel like damaged goods.

BTW my back, omfg ... feels like i slept on marbles for weeks!

that fucking wooden chairs, i think i will have nightmares about it for some time.

but it made her happy to know she wasnt alone, and i was able to help her much faster than the nurses since i was right next to her.

now i just wish gogobar would have another party so she can drink this time!

oh i forgot to mention the hospital!!!!

oh my fucking GAWD!!!

greenwich hospital in CT, the floors are nicely carpetted, beautiful wood furniture and trim.

FREE parking! (this is so rare around here)

They have a deluxe menu for guests and patients ...

blank angus steak
twin lobster tails
shrimp cocktail
humus (wtf is that??)

and so many other things ... i couldnt beleive it!!!

turns out, the hospital is donated by the people of the neighborhood who had some spare change laying around i guess. Because of that, they are able to refuse treatment to whomever they want. They do not take medicare or medicaid.

we saw Joe Tore there on monday morning, he was visiting his wife so i didnt go up to him.

un fucking beleivable ... i almost wanted to take pics of this place!

I am worried about my gf... she has had tumors removed from her ovaries before as well... she thinks they are growing back because her periods have been hurting more and she can feel a little pain went we have sex sometimes...

She wont go to the doctor dispite how many times I tell her to. She has no health insurance and her parents dont help her at all.

It pisses me off that she wont go check it out. One of these days though I will force her to go and I will pay the bills. I am going to try and get her on my insurance plan.

My mom had a hysterectomy.

Honestly, she LOVES it. She said she doesn't miss those parts at all. Though it is an extremly painful process. She always wanted me to push the morphene button, but I couldn't. Haha.
