any Financial Guru's around?
could any financial buffs recommend companies to look into for investing? i'm looking to gain as much return as possible with medium - medium high risk.. i'd like to stay away from stocks for now. i was told to invest in CD's, but that would lock my money up for a period of time, i'd still like access to it..
any suggestions would be cool, thanks guys ![]()

There was actually a stock that looks quite promising, bio-medical, came out with a very good invention that has just recently been FDA approved, but since you arent into that, real estate is always a good bet as long as you do some research before hand.

there is a new version of the 401k for self employed persons (think it is called an SEP) and you can deposit up to $40k/yr into it, and is 100% tax free.

If you decide you do want to dip into stocks.. Let me know, I manage portfolios for my parents, neibors, friends, and several others. I take 20% and my average return per year is around 45%.. Sometimes much more, sometimes less.

You left out a few crucial requirements that need to be discussed.
1. What is your time frame? You mentioned CD's so I am assuming instant liquidity is not necessary. 2. What is your definition of medium to medium-high risk? Are you willing to see your initial investment drop 25% in a short period of time and be able to sleep at night? 50%? With the above said, making a good % on that money is not overly difficult. I do not make outright suggestions on a message board, but I would seriously investigate ForEx (currency) trading with 10:1 leveraging or the numerous royalty trusts traded on the NYSE. |
