I would also like to add that as far as beauty is concerned Vancouver is by far the most beautiful city in Canada. |
This whole "aboot" thing was entirely made up by Americans.
Canadians don't say, and have never said... "aboot". More likely something that originated out of North Dakota. I will concede that we say "eh" a lot though. |
No one I know says "aboot". I think you start hearing that crap when you head to some of the provinces east of Ontario.
I hate hockey too. |

Like I said, I've never heard anyone say it like that around here either. |

Heh. Some Canadians I know sound EXACTLY like they are saying aboot. Maybe you can't hear it. lol. No one thinks that THEY have an accent. ;-) Why don't you make us a wave file? ;-) I was born in ND BTW. ;-) |
Newfies are some of the nicest people I've ever met, and yeah they have hilarious accents. I'd like to take a trip to St. Johns some day. It would be a great experience.
Cape Bretoners have even more pronounced accents if you can imagine. :) |

I'm liking this thread already (complete newbie). I'm originally from Montreal, living in Vancouver. What can I say, shovelling snow sucks, but it's good to have a real public transit system. And the mountains aren't bad either.
Maritimers are possibly the nicest people on the planet. When I was visiting there, I was lost in Halifax, and people were coming up and asking me, "You look lost, do you need help?" I was like scared the first time, but I got used to it. ;) GO HABS! |

You are lucky you didn't get mugged in Halifax heheh. But yeah, generaly the maritimes have the nicest people, just avoid the godamn acadians if you are not french. They somehow think we owe them the world. New Brunswick has some of the nicest woodlands in Canada. Even after Irving ripped the forests to shreds they replanted everything. The most beautiful part is in the Fredericton area. Took a road trip there on Sunday, my gosh.. the whole city is like built in an untouched forest I swear. I never seen so many old and beautiful trees. The highway scenery going there from Moncton is AWESOME. I took lots of pics :) The maritimes are generaly a very clean part of Canada. With Saint John being an exception. Very industrious city. Also the oldest Canadian city if I am not mistaken. It's like one giant "hood". Bumms and homies everywhere. |

I like Canada & all, but if its such a great palce to live why dose 80% of the population in a huge ass country live within 200 miles of the border with the US?

I won't drink Tim Horton's cofee anymore. It's laced with 3 times the normal amount of caffein that normal coffee plus other secret substances. It's no wonder a Tims drive thru is lined up to the second nearest intersection every morning at 7am.. All my friends drink this shit, and are always getting the shakes if they go 10 minutes past their usual coffee break. Also.. they even lace their fucking juices and pops with abnormal levels of cafein.

Funny everyone disliked us a month ago (or ignored us) I wonder if this thread of Canadian kindness has anything to do with the fact that Americans get influenced by the media way to fuggin easy...oh yeah, and in an unrelated topic "Bowling for Columbine" is out on DVD.
P.S. IM JUST PLAYING AMERICA, YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU. |
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM CANADIAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i love those commercials |
Is it hard for a US citizen to become a Canadian citizen? How long does it take?
