J$tlye$ Content Blowout

I haven't seen any threads lately from J$tyle$. So I thought I'd fill the void for my caucasion.

http://www.contentblowout.com made content providers drop their pants.

I really do think that since he came out with that special, it helped a bunch of others capitalize from it as well. They all dropped their pants. The question is, are those content providers happy they did that? I know J$tyle$ is, you go boy!

$tylestic, where you @?

Nah, just bored and felt like sending a shout to J$tyle$.

I was kiddin' about the pants being dropped. Content producers get edgy when you speak about things like that.

I'll be there.

When I get back, I'm taking you hostage and making you eat Rosies BBQ.

Atlantic City, starts tuesday I think. Don't know the web address any other details for that matter. My wife has the details, she's with AVN. I'll just go for the ride and see if I can do a couple of deals with the video side. No agenda, no schedule, no real parties like the internet side of things. Walking a show floor and sitting in my room with my laptop and cell phone handlin' my biz.

If anyone goes out there, pop me an e-mail, love to see some of our peeps there. darren at marketingfirm dot com

I learnt that there are three not two levels of content.

One is Exculsive and by this I mean good stuff.

Two is quality content that will convert and not oversold.

Three, filler content. the stuff should still be of a reasonable level or you risk upsetting members. But not good enough on it's own to covert or keep members.

And we adjusted our business accordingly.

We stopped selling custom because frankly we have no cash flow problems and even a pretty girl shot by us is worth over $300 if we put her in Bargain Basement Content Store @ $5 and a lot more if she's a cutie in Paul Markham Content Store.

So what he has done to the market, well that is yet to be seen. However some are suffering and will not survive and some of those left will pick up their business.

The Internet is changing, there a re more professional sites, the big influx of newbies with money to spend is over, the surfer is getting treated one month to Hustler, then Private, Score, Alsscan, Karups or Lightspeed and then he goes into a site with a well designed tour, flash banners and was shunted there by an awesome traffic machine.

However when he gets in he finds content that was shot by a "Russian", ten years out of date or plainly just rubbish and he is looking for the cancel button. Or worse still he is charging back.

This is no longer the frontier for pioneers, it's a place to put down roots and look to the long term.

Charly, you're right on something. There are 3 markets for content.

I think the cheap buyers make up the majority, the middle of the road priced content struggles a bit, has to have good marketing with great content to survive, and the upscale, semi-exclusive content sells to fewer and makes just as much as the blowouts in the end, if marketed right. Probably more money. The sites that try to have a quality product want stuff that's hot, and not as seen.

While the cheap webmaster makes blowouts effective these days, most people are hurting, money wise.

There's a piece of the pie out there for everyone I guess, marketing is key, or word of mouth.

I agree. Sites like sweetloads.com abd karupspc are the model to follow. Both are pioneers and yet do different things and yet both are filthy rich.

Yo, yo, D$!!!

Thanks for the thread, dawg ... 3 inquiries from it thusfar

LOL

Actually, I've been quietly working from NY.

I've been here since Sept 18th chillin' with my mother. She just got double knee replacement surgery on Wed. and is in recovery at the hospital.

I'm chillin' like a friggin' rock star in my robe at the W Times Square with my lady right now, and we just had an incredible dinner! We're staying here until Sun.

Get at me in the next couple of days and we'll make a run out to Atlantic City for the East Coast Video Show!

BTW - Blowouts are all good for everyone ... the webmaster wins because he gets a great deal ... the content producer wins because he gets an influx of cash in a tough market ... and I win too of course because I make a few scheckles .... it's all good!

The game has changed, it's that simlpe. Some people might be hurting while others are flourishing ... it's the ebb and flow of business anyway.

I'll be back later. I gotta watch a move and relax for a bit!

Have a safe trip!!!

A one BILLION dollar industry MINIMALLY and content providers are struggling - something wrong with this picture. I know what the problem is but it's a problem that will never be solved because nobody give's a rat's ass. Steve Easton could have been the sweetest(which he is not) man in the world and he still would have been hated.

A photog I know made a post a few hours ago about a paysite just filled with nothing but stolen content, my customers stuff and probably 500 other people's. CCBILL happily provides processing for this thief and probably has for years knowing exactly what the site is all about.

Thread got no attention of course.

Steve is back and fighting the fight. Give me the guys URL and I will send Steve to it. If he steals from one he will steal from many. But remember APIC is a paid membership organization, we do not pay him to protect non-payers.

Back to the main theme of your post.
We are not struggling and even though we were without a payment processor who could handle Visa and MC we still got orders and money, checks, wires Amex, Direct Debit. Just not as much, hence the Newsletters we've been sending out the last few days.

Our business is actually growing month on moth and I see absolutely no reason it should not grow. No fewer surfers, no few sites, no fewer newbies.

A Content blow out is a one off event and most of the successful webmasters buying them are doing so to add bulk to their sites. In the main the content being "Blown Out" is not brand new fresh converting content. It's filler content and that includes our discount site.

So the main site www.paulmarkham.com is still steaming ahead with the regular clients buying week in and week out. This is the site that webmasters with sites that require our style of images and videos come to buy the content that will convert and keep the members.

If the content in the ?Blow Outs? was capable of that the sellers would not need a cash boost or be giving content away.

BTW - thanks, man! My mother walked 15 feet around her room yesterday and 25 feet today!
