You should use both types of program as a compliment to each other.
The signups offer a quick hit of $$$ however, as everyone knows the industry has ups and downs and that is where recurring programs come into play, affording you long term revenues to supplement the times when signup programs do not seem to be working for you ![]() BTW, SEE SIG ![]() |

It's been said - both. Dpepends on a lot of factors not least of which is site quality. There is no right or wrong answer. Instead do a little work and see what makes you the most money as it's the only way to find out.

Depends on the site. If the site is good & can retain, you'll make way more with recurring. ....problem is, it takes a few months to figure that out.

I like partnerships. Since I always pre-check sites I'm gonna promote, and only promote high quality sites, average income per signup for me is a lot more than any per-signup program pays

I agree with those above who recommend a mix of per-signup and recurring ... the only caveat I'd add is that you should make sure in particular that your recurring sponsors are reputable, since you will be relying on their staying in business over the long haul.

Just remember... money is money is money...
In theory what is supposed to happen is PPS factors the payout by assuming the risk and gives you all your money up front. Recurring pays you the same or perhaps a little more over a longer period of time. In theory PPS would be your best bet if being shaved wasn't a concern. I'm not saying that all programs shave... but what I am saying is that there isn't any reason for a rev-share program to shave because it is risk adverse while theoretically a PPS site is risky which would tempt a program owner to shave. And don't kid yourself, there are huge affiliate programs that rely on shaving to be profitable. In the end... you need to make a decision by evaluating what you're depositing. However, I recommend that all affiliates get to know their sponsors, make character judgements and ultimately send traffic to the people that they like and trust. Cheers, Brad

In the long run partnership works out better I think.
pps you may get more right away. But some of those partnership signups can bring you $250 over a period of time. |

What do you think is better?
Black or White? Chocolate or Vanilla? Even or Odd? Up or Down? It depends on the situation and one answer does not fit every question.

i think revshare if the program is good and can keep the members. i've promoted some revshare that in the long run, only generated between 10 and 20 dollars for a signup on average.

Per sign up rocks for the first 1-2 weeks. They they see your bringing to many sign ups so they start to shave you. How do you know? Easy..week 1 and 2 you'll do 1:100 to 1:300, bringing in 5-10 sales a day, depending on how much TGP traffic you got. After that period you'll see your ratios gradully rise to 1:500 then 1:1000. Thats when you should change sponsor and go with recurring.
Or maybe its just me ![]()

partnership is something I notice several months after I start pushing them. People with more traffic can probably tell alot sooner. Dealing internet porn is like my constructive hobby. ![]() |

If you are on a sponsor that have sites that update the content at least 2 times per month take partnership so you'll have more $$ with recurring ..
and if they never update and their sites sucks then take per signup.. |

I know with the extreme uniqueness of my site, plus the plentifull amount of content, that my affiliates are better off with partnership. My site has only been going for a year but already I have many members that have been with me for the whole time. if the site you are promoting has a niche that is not saturated and has plenty of content then go for partnership, you will make far more money in the long run.

If you have a unique site, updated everyday with a absolute KILLER members area you can make more money with Recurring. Recurring sucks for sites with small members area or lack of updates and memberships that cost $40 just don't recur like $24.95 memberships.
Per signups can be good, but really a lot shave to stay in business. The big boys sites probably recur at about 1/10 per signup a month, stay away from big boys recurring programs they have no idea on recurring, they base their business around per signup and so try to suck as much money out of a signup as possible as fast as possible. |

after taking it in the shorts from GloBIll and a few comments from some program owners here: per sign up. take the money and run. somebody who pays weekly. and no minimum payout is even better. while recurring is nice in some instances, i also know how much i HAVEN'T made on partner programs because the surfer didn't convert to a recurring. if i had gone per sign up --i would have had that thirty-something per surfer ...
