Question 4 paysite owners

Even though I worked for payserve.com, I never thought about what the costs are 2 start a good paysite!

What are the set up costs, content ( PICS-MoVies )?

Get a photographer as a friend.
Get a partner who is good at design pages.

I steal all my content, use free hosts, and I process through PayPal.

Very low overhead.

I think it depends on the niche, but I wouldn't bother doing it with anything less than $20,000

if you're going exclusive you're looking at over 60k for a decent one...just content and design

Is it more if you try to do a reality type of niche? Also co-branding with the talent seems like a bad idea but lots of sites do it and do well. What is the thought on that?

I think it depends on what kind of site you want and how cheap you can get the models to shoot for.

I would say you could do it as cheap as $5000 (maybe less) if you got your hustle on and learned how to do it all yourself. It's when you have to out source everything when it gets expensive.

Hmmm, a lot of different prices

I thought it would be around 50k, Just 2 make sure you have a nice retention from day one.

How can you even try 2 start a paysite for 6000$ ?
You probably buy a lot of overused content, and try 2 fill your membersection with upsells right? and/or Feeds.

Cost me about $10,000 and I did not have to pay for content, as it is all mine, but I did have to lease some bonus stuff.

Spooky

I would say about to start would be ok if you start with atleast 5 sites which will run about 6-10k just for the design, another 10k for content, another 10k for an affiliate program with an ok script, another 10k for advertiment and about 100k for webmaster payout for the first 4 months before you make a dollar

starting at 49 per dvd (video) of around 90 minutes

advertising not included
