Damn CCBIll checks!!

I've got this asshole that joined my site 3 times today using a check option and I immediately removed his account. I sent him a very stern letter and he rejoined using my $89 6 mth option. Over the past few mths, it's got to be at least $500 in check transactions from this asshole. As usual, I call ccbill and nothing can be done. What other processor gives a "clearing delay"? Now, in 3 days... I'm gonna get hit with $139 just from this 1 customer!

I love ccbill but you've got to clear up your check issues!!!

Asshole:

We have over $500 in fradulant transactions from you and your various ip addresses beginning with 170/172 etc. Below is a list of the various names, but we have ALOT more! This is NOT a joke and ccbill has a detailed record of every transaction, which is grand larceny. We can EASILY have you arrested and brought upo on criminal charges!!! Don't think because you're behind a computer, you can't be found.

DO NOT EVER JOIN OR ATTEMPT TO JOIN OUR SITES AGAIN!

Check signups are not worth the hassle.
I remember Globill use to have a webmaster option where you would only grant access once the check cleared. I dont know why others dont follow this, or even better why the other proccesors havent followed Probillings "instant check"????
80% of my check signups use to bounce, so I just said fuck it...

Online checks = free site access for freeloaders.

It used to be worth offering check subscriptions but not any more.

Gives delayed access till the check clears. I joined a single girl site a few mths ago and I was gonna pay with a ck, till I saw the 7 day clear notice. I wanted immediate access, so I joined with my credit card. It can be done, Why is it so difficult with ccbill?

I cancelled the check option of ALL my sites except sweetcuties. I added it back because it's extra $$.

i completely agree! it seems like such a nobrainer to give webmasters the option of not giving access until it clears!!! it was the one thing globill did exactly right.

im not familiar with probilling's instant check though. i thought there was nothing in place at banks for instant check verification to work yet?

Try www.achdebit.com seems to have a lot of nice real time verification features and inhouse collections department.

The one great thing about Globill was this check option, If any of the other billing companys start a delay sign up for checks we would use them, but until then checks suck.

We're dumping checks for the same reason. I figure how many losers don't have at least a debit card (visa/mc logo to use as a cc sign-up)?

Corvett: I'm adding a statement on all of my ccbill join pages that says "we'd hate to lose you. yada, yada, but here's how to cancel, yada yada, any returns or chargebacks will result in you being barred from future membership.

Does ccbill allow me to have people w/ returns and chargebacks blacklisted? I've sent in requests several times, but only got a confirmation one way or the other that it had been done, once.

Without going into any specific details about the recent changes to online checks that we have implemented, I am going to suggest that you continue to accept online checks, at least for the short term, and of course, monitor your return rate

With regard to the aforementioned changes, we have noticed some impressive results so far, with more improvements currently in the works

As far as the future blacklisting of charged back credit cards and online check returns goes, that is a part of any decent fraud scrubbing system.

Any clients that want further specifics can contact their CCBill sales rep; I try to make myself available as well?

I don't process with ccbill but I also have issues with returned checks. I run two similar sites, on one about 1 in 5 checks DOESN'T bounce, on the other check signups are more rare but they are mostly legitimate. The first site is fed mainly with TGP traffic. I would guess most of sweetcuties traffic comes from TGPs too?

One good thing about broadband becoming more available - people are more likely to have static IPs, which you can block... if I see the same IP sign up for a check twice then they get blocked completely, they cannot connect to any site hosted on my server.

Hey sweetcuties I've got an idea how to put the wind up this bloke. Seing as hardcore j has the same PO box. Find out off hardcore j what the souroundings are at this PO box ie buildings etc. and then emial this bloke and tell him that next time he is picking up his mail to that he should be careful not to walk too close to the such and such building otherwise he may hurt himself.

Spooky
