Alberta

Good luck finding a place that includes gas/electricity etc. now
and good luck finding a decent place for under 700 bucks a month
if you roll your cigs a can of tobacco costs 65 bucks and tubes cost 4 bucks
a pack of smokes ranges from 8.50 - 10.25

the phone company is a bunch of gouging ass-lickers 70 bucks for net, 30 bucks for phone. good luck getting a tech support guy who knows anything.

one company owns all the water/power/gas and they fucking charge way too much

Come live in Alberta heh it sucks ass

Rent / bills are fairly average across the board

You can still buy a 2 bedroom house for about 100,000 in almost every province

Nothing thats free works for very long...

Actually our healthcare system worked GREAT for years but, not to put the blame on americans because its canada's fault for not adapting , but Once USA started needing doctors and nurses and offered almost 10 times what they pay in canada, all the quality health care workers went south, the only way to get them to stay was to pay them more , that means no more free healthcare.

yeah, i'm _very_ convinced that introducing socialized healthcare in the united states... while a quaint idea and good intent... is the worst idea ever and it would never work here.

and basically that kinda confirms part of my argument

Personally I think Canada rules I'm in Ontario, but I'm in more rural Ontario. We pay $600 for a 3 bedroom house on 3/4 of an acre, two blocks from all amenities. It's quiet, it's safe for the kids, I dunno, I like it. Relatively cheap. We have oil heat and that can get pricey, but electric is even worse.. I guess it all depends on your perspective.. If you're in Canada and make US money, you have a distinct advantage.

Everything is 7 - 8% less in Alberta since we have no provincial tax. But even within the province, city to city costs vary widely. A 2 bedroom condo in downtown Calgary is double what it is in Edmonton.

Where are you looking to move? I'm going to Mexico for the winter & need to rent my place out fully furnished.

Vancouver B.C is the nicest city in canada , therefore it costs $$$ the most but we don't have the highest taxes right now we are at 7.5% PST and 7% GST
In general the rent/real estate cost quite a bit to live .

Scenery wise and stress wise the Yukon is great, High Speed is not good, gas, food, rent and just about everything else is expensive. Lived in Whitehorse and a small town 4 hours north of Whitehorse. Paid $1100 a month for a small ugly old 1 bedroom in Whitehorse. Summertime parties there are worth the price though. When you walk out of a bar at 2:30 in the morning and need to put on your sunglasses will fuck you up the first few times.
