American punk rock is the best, and Japanese punk rock comes in second. Aussies actually produced some of the best punk rock bands of all time, in the late 70s and early 80s...like the saints and radio birdman. So they come in third.

Damn! Punk is a feeling, it's a way of life. I don't care who was first or what's "original" punk.

Why should I care what a UK punk band in the late 70's or early 80's had to say? When I listen to these bands, then just because I like their music but not because of the "punk" feeling.

There are many punk bands out there and I listen to them if they have something important to say (or simply make some enjoyable fun punk) :)

I I really don't fucking care if it's the NY, LA, London or Berlin punk scene. Punk is not a competition

I LIVE IN LOS ANGELES, AND SAW THEM 6 TIMES LAST WEEK! THEY ENDED THEIR TOUR ON SUNDAY PLAYING A UCLA STUDENT ONLY SHOW WHERE THEY ANNOUNCED THEY WERE GOING INTO THE STUDIO TO RECORD THEIR NEW RECORD WHICH WILL BE OUT SOMETIME IN MAY 2004. AND ANOTHER NORTH AMERICAN TOUR TO FOLLOW AS WELL.

yeah, have some good stuff..no doubt (not the band).....I still have a real weakness for old British punk though...which maybe why I married an old british punk :Graucho

because no punk bands ever had the real and honest effect on a society that the Pistols and their fellow early punk acts did. They really helped change a society.

Some of today's stuff totally rocks and I feel it in the core of my bones when I go to a gig but there was just something awseome about punk having that real effect.

im ashamed of the the "punk kids of today"...
