      why would you want IP?

      i can only think of DDOS

                  You dont need a patch. Your computer makes a TCP connection to the other persons computer (unless the message is being sent via the server). Any program which allows you to view the active TCP connections on your system can give you their IP address.

                                  Okay, well some guy is bothering me eith questions, and he knows personal stuff...Maybe it's nothing, and some kind of joke..WHen I have his IP, I can at least see where he is from...

                                                          When chat with someone, go to DOS and just type:
                                                          "netstat -a"

                                                          You can make search in google also - depending on your ICQ version - there is tons of program which do not only IP reveal but for example show real status of someone, ignoring what he set as his status - offline/online...
