On the issue on intimidation though (was a mate replying before with my account - O2) I can be totally honest and say in my experience there are a bunch of White people who do act 'intimidated' when they encounter people staring them down. I generally find, in my experience with mates anyway, that it is not because they are scared of the person who is staring them down but rather they don't care to cause any trouble.

                                                                                                                                                                                        When you are working a 9-5 job, or studying at school, and just living your life and trying to get ahead, when someone stares you down in the street White people tend to generally save themselves the trouble by looking the other way, rather than staring back (perhaps some are scared, but of some of the people I have known to do that many are great fighters when required). I guess they often assume also that whena 40 year old mum is starring at them it is not because she is looking for a fight, rather than a black who is dressed up like a monkey gangster for example.

                                                                                                                                                                                        Myself, I have come to that stage too. As a kid (keeping in mind I am only soon to turn 20) I was pretty damn violent. If someone would look at me I would turn it into a fight on the spot. I especially took this approach when Arabs, etc looked at me (note we only have a handful of Africans here thankfully) as I knew they assumed they could disrespect most Anglo-Australian's and not face any issues. Now though, I don't see the point so much. If someone where really trying to start a fight with me, sure I'd still want to step up, but I no longer seek to fight at all. There are more important things in life than constantly proving yourself by punching on with nobodies who might look at you for a second.
