I was making 5G's / month with MaxCash, and I was *still* working there for 10 CDN bucks per hour because I didn't want to leave my "real job".
I quit after a year, and haven't looked back... 3 years later.
The GREATEST part of working though, was not giving a SHIT about management. I was "out" as a porn webmaster to everyone. LOTS of tech had questions about trying to get into the business. only one actually jumped ship and joined the ranks of porn webmaster about a year later. A lot of people didn't believe me... "if it's that easy, why isn't everyone doing it"... they forgot the fact that I actually said I did some *real work* for it.
I was a shit disturber because I wasn't exactly afraid of losing my job. There was awesome power in that.
But I had enough one day, logged myself out of the phone for a break, emptied my locker and never went back.

Worst day job ever: A friend of mine and I took these helium balloons and tank and drove to a spot designated on a map. Then we had to make sure the balloons stayed aloft . . . so the airplanes dispensing pesticide would know where to spray. For some reason, although we both got really sick and couldn't finish the number of weeks in the contract, we were able to negotiate so that they paid us for the whole thing anyway.

Lemme tellya, when I'm drawing comics I have to design interiors on the fly. Sometimes I would get a story from any time period.
Believe it or not, the most difficult was the colonial period. You'ld have to add this or that for authenticity. Remember the wood grain, etc. Some fans would get picky and write in and say shit like:
" You can't have that frame on that painting! Those frames weren't invented until 1870 and only appeared in a small Dutch village run by the Duke of such-n-such and yadda yadda yadda. "
Then you'ld go to the convention to sign autographs and one of these annoying shits would show up and a fight would start.

As for me jobwise, I'd be a District Manager for a convenience store chain clawing at the next rung on the corporate ladder.
What's funny is this was a beer money gig for me for over a year, and I got into a fight with my boss at my day job over a $25 a week raise that she agreed to give me but that her supervisor said they "couldn't afford"
I got mad and walked out and told them to call me when they were ready to pay me.
They called a month later but in that month I had nothing to do but crank out sites all day and made more than double what I would have made if I'd have stayed at the day job......it felt good to tell them where to put their $25 a week.
And to add insult to injury, 6 months later the chain I was working for filed for bankruptcy, closed down all the stores, and the bankruptcy judge sold them off one by one
