Depending on how he runs his campaign he's got a great shot. He's fundamentally against war but he's got a military background so he'll do what needs to be done. He'll also be responsible fiscally and pay attention to the deficit and whatnot. Seems like a good middle-of-the-line candidate who's good for both sides.

All Presidents are anti-war. Nobody likes war, but everyone likes to protect themselves.

Just try and think about it.

If someone walks in your house with a gun, would you wish you had a gun when they turn around to grab your wife?

It is EXACTLY the same thing when there is evidence that a country intends to destroy things & lives in OUR country, and we go to THAT country and STOP them BEFORE this happens.

All the anti-American anti-Bush this and that jackasses want EVERYTHING to be justified with DEATH.

If we had an attack DIRECTLY from IRAQ, you`d support the effort, but no, you only support the one that came from Afganistan, because some people were killed.

Clark has a very impressive credentials when it comes to War policies. As Generals themselves say, only retaliate when fired upon...this has been the case of the US government the past couple of years in the event of war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Making decisions in an event of war is really hard the fact that you think on the welfare of your people and others as well.

i consider myself a libertarian and i think this war was contrived and nothing more than a power grab by the neo comms.

I like him. And I'm a bit suprised because I've always been leary of someone with strictly a military background running for office.

I saw him on "Real Time" with Bill Mahrer and on Hardball with Chris Matthews and I liked the way he handled himself and didn't avoid direct questions.

However, almost NO ONE gives him a real shot at the Presidency. It does look like he's positioning himself as a vice presidential candidate.

The intrigue over the last 2 days is that he's gotten VERY warm endorsements from the Clintons (more than they've said about the other candidates), and he had a private meeting with Howard Dean.

Does this mean a Dean/Clark ticket for the democrats?
Could be a potent force!

The only thing that REALLY bothers me is..omg..theking and I actually agree on something for I think the first time in history!

Facts? What is the evidence that "all Presidents are anti-war"? I don't think we Americans have been under a constant enough threat to support that contention in light of the overwhelming number of times US presidents have sent troops overseas.

Classic power politics has dictated going to war but that assumes a certain viewpoint. It assumes you are willing to use force and go to war to achieve political goals. US Presidents have been rather willing to do that.

That's just about the most insane thing I've ever read. 5.15 an hour full time comes out to about 11k a year before taxes. Granted, you wouldn't have to pay federal income tax at that income level, but you would still have to pay social security, which is approximately 15% so that would leave you with about 9,500 dollars for an entire year of full time work, I don't know what reality you live in, but even in a state with a very low cost of living I don't know who could survive on that income, let alone with a child. Even if there were two incomes that would still be only 19,000 a year. It makes me suspect that you still live with your parents because you obviously have NO idea what it's like in the real world.

As a Libertarian, I support any war which destablizes any government anywhere, even if only temporarily. So I don't mind US troops being deployed in combat to murder the Taliban, Hussein, or any other fucktards out there. I just wish we'd pull the troops stationed in Europe and Asia out since they're getting paid to sit around and do not shit, and send them to the Middle East to murder more of those fucks.

But other than that, I despise everything this or any other administration does, since all they do is expand the size and scope of government.
