actually london isnt the most expensive now, it is like 3rd or 4th behind munich & paris. you can thank the euro and the mass inflation they dare not admit to for that

..also my 1 bedroom apartment in Helsinki (nice area though) is worth over 170k?. Even though I own the place, I have to pay 200? 'maintenance' stuff per month. A rent in a place like mine would be over ?1k per month... Living in helsinki is fucking expensive. I wanna move out! Anyone wanna rent a furnished apartment in Helsinki? :glugglug :winkwink:

As far as the Euro goes? We bought three new properties off-plan in the south east of Spain back at the launch of the Euro when it was very weak and in just over a year when we sold them all the value had risen by almost 40% plus the Euro had risen sharply too which was great. If you are going to make a living on-line in the EU and don?t have a lot to spend just pick somewhere hot in the southern EU that has DSL and loads of bikinis. If you have money to invest then the northern EU cities are a better bet. |
tell us more about Portugal Rui, cost of living and so on..

If you need something about Prague & CZ, let me know... |
We live in Denmark at the moment and here it's quit expensive to live. but on the other hand we can go to the doctor for free and the hospitals as well. (not that i am hoping that you get hurt hehe)
Cars here cost way to much, the price for a normal family car is generally about $ 23000 we live in a flat right now and pay $850 for 1 living room, kitchen, and two bedrooms. And then you have to pay 50% of your income in tax. But it's nice to live here thou. we are moving to prague in a couple of months. |

My brother lives in Prague, says it's great. He's a cheap bastard but has a great apartment in the middle of downtown and does very well. Married a native, though, so he's pretty comfortable with the language. They really seem to like Americans as well.

Depends on where you live in Europe.... city or countryside? Central Europe? Eastern Europe? Mexico / Portugal? Balkan (Ex-Jugoslavia), Turquie?

In Denmark, the only thing not more expensive is the gas which is more or less the same. But: Merecedes CLK 320 -> ~100.000 EURO Roadtax -> ~1.000 EURO Income Tax -> ~50-60% Sales Tax -> 25% on everything Sucky but we get a lot for our money. That is, if you're unemployed, have children, study, go to the doctors a lot or are in and out of hospitals. If you don't have any of the above stay far away from Denmark. Try Spain :) Nice, climate is great, taxes acceptable and housing even in the fashionable spots are affordable. |
Northern Europe is expensive but we sell porn don't we :smokin
