Because some people that don't have a mind of their own, jump on the trendy bandwagon and flow with whatever seems to be socially popular at that time. I think as an American citizen, the least people can do is support the good intentions and be thankful for what we have.

Bush is not perfect, and even though I lean to the "right", I don't agree with every policy he or the Republican party has, but he is only human and I believe, he has done the best he can do, with what was presented to him. He was reading to kids in school when the planes struck the WTC, I do not believe war was even on his agenda for his term in office. What does Iraq have to do with Bin Laden? We don't know for sure... but the chances of ties between the 2 are more likely than not. Saddam was a worldwide problem, not a personal vendetta with Bush Sr. contrary to popular speculation. If you aren't happy with Saddam being ousted from power, by all means, invite him to rule your country or your home!!

So many anti-Bush people say Bush didn't and isn't doing the right thing. Ok whomever is more qualified, step forward with your list of ideas, of how this should have been handled. Do you honestly think it would have been better, if we just ignored all the posing threats? Go on with our everyday lives and hope nothing like this happens again? Be diplomatic about it and give in to what anti-Americans want? There are people in this government, who have authority and expertise in this field, Democrats and Republicans alike, do you think if better options existed, they wouldn't have already been exercised? Diplomacy was projected all through the Clinton years and all through those years, the enemies plotted against us and blatantly lied.

Ignoring the problems, like so many anti-Bush/democrat/liberals, whatever you want to classify them as, will NOT make things any better. The US will never improve economically as long as there are groups that want to destroy us. In this fast paced society, I think too many people expected instantaneous results, which is impractical on any level.

We have not forgotten Bin Laden, I am sure investigations and searches beyond our wildest dreams are going on. Our country's intelligence isn't going to jeopardize their course of action, just to give the media something exciting to report. If weeding out the cells within and abroad is part of the plan, to rid the world of terrorist organization, be grateful. Anything other than that, is siding with the enemy.

People say how great the economy was during Clinton's stay in office, remind me what Clinton and his administration were responsible for making so "good"? High taxes, rise and peak of the internet boom and a bunch of scandalous major corporations, that were flying under the radar, robbing people of their investments and lying to everyone. Bush came into office, the internet boom crashed and companies that cheated people out of their money, all started to show their true colors. Mainly because the baby boomer generation started cashing in the long term stock investments, so these companies went under, before they actually had to give people a return on their money.

As far as the Bush administration taking on porn/obscenity. If you actually believed the entire internet would go on forever without any type of policing, you're in serious denial. I do agree that the adult industry online, did the most serious damage to itself. I'm not saying any of *us* did anything terribly bad, but the greedy and malicious ones that mail a billion emails into AOL everyday and charged unknowing customers $5 a min for dialers and so on and so on.

Obscenity laws already existed locally, now they plan to enforce them. Big deal. I remember like 10 years ago in my hometown, a strip club wanted to open, but it was too close to an elementary school, so they wouldn't permit it. They said it had to be X miles away from schools and so it opened in a town nearby. Conforming to local and federal laws, is nothing new. They are targetting the most extreme and vulgar types of porn, and I personally agree they should. I think fantasy rape/murder porn sites are disgusting. As well as scat/pissing. Like it was already said before, it's up to community standards and a jury to decide, what is obscene and what isn't. I know people that are offended by women wearing bikinis, where as some people might pull for women to walk around topless as men do. These laws already exist, we aren't even sure how they will effect us yet. I don't own any paysites or photograph/film porn, I only promote affiliate programs like many others do. I don't know what laws are being broken by promoting mainstream type of things, but that's yet to be discovered.

If you feel you are selling or producing a type of porn, that is tasteless, jump into something else. It's all on a case by case and local by local jurisdiction. Visa/MasterCard/AMEX have all made things hard for the industry, yet people are still in it and doing well. Keep adapting and don't put all of your eggs in one basket.

Some people need to stop being so paranoid, harping on negative and start being happy for what we do have and what we can do.
