I have a request....
can you please post the logos as individual, usable logos. I'm actually testing each and every logo on my pages to see how they look. Without being able to test how it looks or if i'm seeing it with SAMPLE across the middle, your entry isn't being given the chance it deserves. Some amazing work guys, keep 'em coming!! as usual, vector format, looks good in any occasion, can be used anywhere.

and.. yes, i didn't follow the guidelines and insert the spider. it's "old school", too much used, we need something new. ranking high? what can show you ranking high than standing at the #1 position :)

ok, well since everyone wants to know, machinegunkelly is in the lead with this entry atm. The entries have slowed down a bit and I'm getting ready to close this contest early. For those of you interested in knowing why I like machinegunkelly's so much, there are many reasons why this is the top entry.
-The spider looks almost 3D, like it's coming to get you
-the rankhigh name has impact
-i like how you shortened the slogan
-Everyone that sees it has said WOW
-When I put it on my site, it makes my html look good
-It's memorable
-The shading/contrast/colors are excellent and fit my site

excellent concept and this might have been my choice when i started rankhigh.com back in 1998. Back then I did aim for #1 to #3 positions....and got them. Even achieved them overnight in Infoseek. Unfortunately, the times have changed a bit and besides PPC, it's practically impossible to be #1 nowadays.

I'm not trying to offend you but I have to say it: you don't know what a logo is.
I don't say mines are the best (I think marty and lukpensa entries are very good) but you really should ask a guy who works in advertising how a logo should look like...

flashfreak, you definitely got the point. snowpimp, i'm not trying to offend or talk against your will at all, it's your choice, but think a bit: are you looking for a logo or illustration for one purpose only? creating a good logo is not a simple task in photoshop... take a look at all the best logos of the brands you know - can you use it on t-shirts, billboards, business cards, as icons? yes, you can. but can you do it with fancy, candy lollipop illustration? you pick one of those and try it.

you really should decide are you looking for a logo or a nice looking realistic spider that will look good as a header on your website and nothing else?

Yep, that's it. I'm a SEO, the goal of this logo is to make my rankhigh site look good and nothing else. I am not looking to make business cards with it or t-shirts or even acquire a single client with my site. It's just a business front for the occasional type-in. I make money on affiliate programs, I just need something memorable if someone hits the site.

Here were my instructions:
"The logo needs a white background and should look good with my current site, the rest is pretty much up in the air"

I did´nt have time to fix my logos and to split them so i only had one logo in each picture

I should also have made some more logos. Please don´t end the conntest 3 days before the end date

oberheimer, yours were very good so i took the best ones and split them off myself so i could see what they looked like on my site but mgk's was still more what i was looking for.
