Once Upon A Time In Mexico REVIEW

This movie starrs Antonio Banderas and Johnny Depp.

The movie is basically ppl trying to kill other ppl so someone can take control of Mexico, I found the plot to be quite lame and not very creative.

There was enough action in this movie, powerful guns, silent guns, machine guns, bazookas, etc... but it was WAY to exagrated: every 3 seconds somebody is flying off the scene because of a shotgun, and I mean FLYING off the scene. or a guy is hit in the leg and he flies 7 meters back, I simply HATED the non-realistic fighting.

and then you had the parts where the hero is of course INVINCIBLE and not 1 of the 17 BILLION bullets actually hit him.

also the blind man aiming perfectly because all of a sudden his ears turn into god and he knows exactly where the people are, GIVE ME A BREAK. and when anotnio can shoot the person in back of him without even looking, sheesh!!

in conclusion, VERY exagerated movie with a bad plot, I give it 2 thumbs DOWN and do not recommend for you to see it.

This was another Bdjuf Review

Plus, the filmed it early in 2001. It makes you wonder whenever they delay a film release two years.

the movie kicks ass ,and its the third of a series of amazingly, and visualy stunning movies,

the plot does not have to make sense adn the exagerated violent is part of its charge and fun its having with it self,

obviously you did not apreciate the cool factor and the style and creativity or humor of this movie,

and obviously you have not seen el mariache and or desperado,

or spy kids for that matter,

dont trash quality films when they never lied to you,

this movie was everything is promised to be,

your a idiot for wasting money on movies you should know better than to go see,

if you dont like sureal action, and if you dont like motifs, and you dont like gore humor and seeing people killed in creative ways,

then you should not have wasted your money,

next time you should know what you are going to see before you check it out,

thats my 2 cents, this movie is a big thumbs up,

cool as fuck, the blind dude, is the shit, and the shotgun is the shit,

oh and what the fuck did you expect,

its called once upon a time in mexico,

it involves a coup detat,

its a joke dumb ass, do you really think the army and drug dealers are gonna fight it out in the streats and have a bloody coup?????

its a fairly tale, a legend, its imbelished,

they were tung and cheek about it, they were coy about it,

your a idiot for taking a movie so seriously, get a imagination,

broaden your horizons,

the movie was good,
Johhny Depp is the best actor on earth by far he never plays similar characters in movies,

only problem the story wasnt very well organized,

but the flame guitar was killer!

I liked this movie. It's definitely one that I'd suggest people see it and judge it for themselves, it's not bad enough to say "Don't even bother wasting your time!" *cough* Gigli *cough*

Johnny Depp definitely stole the show in my opinion. Even his serious scenes where his character was in pain kept the humor up.

So does Tarentino make another death cameo like in Desperado?

I haven't seen it - but from reviews in newspapers I know that's it's a sort of homage to Sergio Leone, the Italian director who made spaghetti westerns like "Once upon a time in the West" and "The good, the bad and the ugly". That partly explains the music (Ennio Morricone wrote Leone's music - and it was written first and the film shot afterwards so that the images fitted the music). It also explains the style of the film.

Ennio Morricone

Isn't that the guy that did the music for the Untouchables?

no, but maybe acting like people were looking forward to read your review kinda does

other than your opinion, telling what people should do (telling them not to see it) also makes it sound lame

work on those next time you post a review, and no, i'm not really looking forward to read it..

Yes, it was. The score for "The good, the bad and the ugly" is one of the best ever. What a fine movie.
