i just think that we sometime commit some mistakes that we often regret doing afterwards...then we start calling ourselves stupid.

The problem with this discussion is the point of view.

People judge other people from their own point of view - and most people don't see themselves as stupid.

The existence of mass media proves that people are stupid. Think of TV. Millions of people watching the same stuff which was made with the sole purpose of making money.

Think of ads. Psychologs figuring out the best way to make people overpay something they may not need - and people actually do it.

Smart people exploiting dumb people. It's more widespread than ever. It's refined nowadays and we don't use words like "slavery" for it.

Best remedy against stupidity: Open as many doors as possible. Learn, think. Things aren't necessarily good for you just because the mass of people like them.
