message board script

I need a really simple script for a threaded message board. I don't even need admin capabilities or smilies or anything like that. I just need the messages to be threaded, with subjects, and sorted by date.

Does anyone have any suggestions of a simple script that I can set up in a couple of minutes without too much modifications?

yah I didn't want to go bother with vbulletin, etc because I really need something super simple. There will only be two people using it...we have just found that email is proving too hard to keep our projects organized between the two of us so we are going to use a message board instead. I will use vbulletin if I can't find anything else but it really is much much more involved than I need

why not go search at hotscripts.com

will take you less time then posting here and you'll find what you want.

There are lots of free ones that are as good as vbulletin.

phpbb is free and brainless to install. for something simple like what you're looking for, i'd go with that. i doubt you'll have problems.

I use PhpBB on my site. Easy to set up and configure.

...and it's free!

thanks everyone for your replies, I think I am going to go grab phpbb as it sounds pretty painless

thanks for the suggestion to check hotscripts, that is where I get most of my scripts from, but I wanted to know if people had suggestions so that I didn't have to wade through the scripts and take the chance of downloading ones that took a long time to set up.
