well the lastest album was all recorded in London in a vintage 1960's studio. Nothing in the studio was modern and they did the whole album on next to no money. Yah, those White Stripes Vegas tix are $52. I would've gone to see them if they wanted to make it affordable... like $25-35.
The most I've ever paid for a ticket was $45 for Dave Matthews Band... and the White Stripes are no where near as cool as them.

Totally. There are so many bands trying to do some sort of retro sound, but The White Stripes get it eerily right every time. I busted out my old Buzzcocks stuff after I heard the first White Stripes single, but it is not like they are just a Buzzcocks knock-off, they really do have just enough pieces from a huge number of past bands, that their stuff always sounds familiar and new at the same time. Not sure yet how well it will stand repeated listens though.Comment
