Hey does anyone have a Power Mac G5. I was wondering how is the speed compared to the dual G4's?

I think the g5 is faster then the g4. It's like a g4 plus 1. That's FAST.

Megahertz per megahertz, the G5 is currently about as fast as the G4. That is, a 1600 MHz G5 is twice as fast as a 800 MHz G4. Also, dual processing is very efficient with the G5, so you can basically add up the megahertz total to compare performance.

The performance difference should go up more as the operating system is optimized better for the new processor architecture.
