Dan think of past conventions you've gone to, where you've gone up to a booth and thought "why the fuck are they giving this away?"
Look at it from a webmaster's point of view. Everyone gives away free shit, but hardly anyone gives away something the webmasters *need* or will regularly *use* (other than the t-shirts). Be sure to have your products out there, with free samples or at least a product sample they can hold in their hand and look at if they can't keep it. Print up a nice full-color flyer showing all of your stuff. The best flyer I've seen is one that TrafficCashGold did, a 3-page foldout with screenshots of all of their sites on it - you could instantly look at it and see if they had something for your traffic plus it had the other important info like $$/signup, etc. Anyhow, it's not hard to do something different - it's just what kind of a crowd you're wanting to attract. Do you want the fuckoffs who are just there for free booze and peep shows, or do you want the webmasters who actually work? Therein lies the secret to what you want to do with your booth - although I wouldn't recommend a booth in the first place, it limits your ability to get out and mingle. |

do this....
Only spend half of what you were going to spend for T-Shirts and other giveaways and have everyone that stops by your both fill out a raffle ticket. Then towards the end of the show pull a name and tell them that you are going to give them (the other half of the money you would have spent on the free giveaways) for a single hand of blackjack (make it like 2500.00) This will cause buzz about your booth and your product...everyone will be talking about it. |

Well, the ceiling in the Sands Convention center is pretty high, so why not set up one of them portable Bungy Jump contraptions you see at the local State fair and have webmasters bungy jump for dollars. Set up a target or something on the ground and whoever comes closest to a certain $$$ number gets the cash. Kinda like that wind tunnel thingy that was part of someone's booth (i can't rememebr who) a while back. You know the one, the one where a webmaster stands inside and has to grab as much dough as he/she can in a certain period of time?...
Or, similar idea, but with an air bag below and have webmasters jump from a high patform, down onto the target for cash.... There, wild, crazy and memorable enough for ya?! Just make sure you have loads of insurance...lol |

have tons of t-shirts, cups, mouse pads, give me something hot that I'll look at all year long...a calendar.
I have the free speech calendar in front of me daily, so I have a clue as to what day it is...if it was a month to month with room to write in the boxes, I'd use it more.

I think my favorite giveaway was Gamma. You stop by their booth, they gave you cash. No tricks, just stop by and they hand you cash.

Yes, Ezygo will be the product/s we are going to promote But the fact is that we cant say much about it yet, as we have developed a billing model that solevs the MasterCard/Visa 1% chargeback problem, and we dont want everyone to know how we are doing (unitl we have done it of course) |
