Sharky,

When you try booting it up next try pressing F4 (i think) that might take you into a systems setting for the main BIOS you should be able to reset the machines configurable settings etc in there to make it boot from a floppy.

anyone have any ideas? how can I fix this fucker??

it is corrupt windows system files.. xp/2000 has the same problem.. you can solve it 99% of the time by booting from the windows cd and selecting install restore.. that will replace all your windows system file without losing your files on the drive

if that doesnt work it is put hard drive in other pc.. back up data and do a brand new install.. but as i say 99% off the time you can restore as i sad above

Good Luck!

'is it dead yet?'

do you even get a blue screen of death?

when you boot, do you see the desktop screen (as in blue screen but not blue screen of death) ?

do you see windows is starting up ? ...

does it just get to the blue screen then shows/doesnt shows windows is shutting down?

I had this problem once with 2k.. netlogon was the prob :)
