While that stigmata of laws enforcing the hiring of minorities is now kind of outdated in the larger cities, its the best thing we have to enforce equal rights in smaller areas or rural states. BTW Richie Rich, have you noticed that kids nowadays refuse to work for what they think are paltry jobs. But then again, I have lived for centuries in an area that never has a unemployment problem except for the construction industry when times get bad. I think the last they said on the news, our unemployment rate was like 2.1% and that included the people not even able to work. ;-)

They pay 9-10 bucks at fastfood here and STILL have trouble getting people. Heck the local Home Depot is lacking about 100 workers, with a starting wage of $9 and FULL benefits. So shut up and move. And WE are allowed to own handguns!! (shiver) lol Unlike you Nu Yawkors. lmfao

A question from the UK...

I would have thought there were laws in the States regarding discrimination against any race whether Caucasian or any ethnicity plus what about having to offer a % of jobs to the disabled..

Would Rich moan if the staff were all white but had a physical disablity... !!! Would the sight of some one who had one arm serving him put him off his gourmet BK food....

In the UK most of the low paid jobs are taken by minority races and why.. Young whites are to f**king lazy to work over here.. They can claim more on bebefits than they'd earn at BK or in a supermarket.. In fact the ethnic staff in my local supermarket are more helpful than the whites in management..

It was an interesting obervation Lil2rich, but consider a few things...

1. This is not a great job flipping burgers. The fact that no white people work there should make you a little sympathetic.
2. I dated a very intelligent white girl that worked at McDonalds for 6 years. She was an IB student and now is in grad school at a very nice university... She was working there because she enjoyed it and had a good experience with the company from an early age and used the money to pay for college and support her family -- and helped my ass out too!
3. Trying to solve things from the bottom of an organization or structure isn't usually a smart way to make changes. Think of how you could approach this problem -- map out more stores, demographics, etc... start your own fast-food store, etc... but I think you will find the problem is very complex... there are people that spend their whole life researching this problem...
4. Think about it from the girl's perspective. Maybe she thought you "didn't want a ****** touching your food" -- you might think that doesn't happen in this day and age, but it does. I was just in Dennys last week and a bunch of drunk cowboys were in there -- as they left they yelled out to one of the black servers "we didn't want your ****** ass touching our food" or something like that... You don't know what she was thinking -- she didn't know what you were thinking.
